The Dialect Vocabulary Study Of Qujing

Qujing,located in the northeast of Yunnan province,covers an area of about 28904 square kilometers,with a population about 64.19 million.Considering the population,the majority is Han people,and the ethnic minorities were numerous.The Qujing dialect belongs to the southwest mandarin dialect of the northern dialects,which is characterized locally by rich dialect vocabulary,so it differs from that in Putonghua.Before March 2016,Qujing has a district,seven counties,and a countylevel city,in which people from the district and counties speak different dialects.Due to the fact that Qilin area is where the city government located,dialect in Qilin is regarded as the dialect of Qujing.Researches on Qujing dialect begin rather late,and most of the researches involve dialects in other counties in Qujing.Thus,there is much room for further studies on Qujing dialect.It is of great significance to study the vocabulary of Qujing dialect for it helps us understand the historical culture and social vicissitude of Qujing.Based on the previous researches,this paper studies the word-formation,the motivation of words,and other aspects of Qujing dialect vocabulary.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is introduction,which mainly explains the basic geography status,the research history and current situation of Qujing dialect,and the research objects and methods.The second part majorly describes the differences in the lexical,semantic,and emotional aspects between Qujing dialect vocabulary and Putonghua vocabulary.The third part introduces the way of word-formation in simple words and compound words in Qujing dialect.In the fourth part,it studies motivation of words from attribute motivation,rhetoric motivation,and cultural motivation in Qujing dialect.The fifth part describes the typical words that are related to scenery and objects in Qujing dialect.The sixth part is the conclusion.
