Theory And Practice Of Chinese National Musical Instrument Improvement In The 20^th Century

From modern times,since the introduction of western culture,there are various of problems exploring in Chinese national orchestras.Therefore,some relevant scholars in domestic reform the Chinese national musical instruments,as the research object of the improvements of national musical instruments,Guzheng also carries out a series of reforms.But there are not practical approaches or firm conclusions,in addition,whether the improvements of musical instruments is a necessary behavior or not is not explained.Since the musical system of Chinese tradition does not have the system support of composition theory like western,which makes the formation of Chinese national orchestras is based on the orchestration,harmonics and band system of western all the time.This paper refers to a large number of document literature,aiming at researching and discussing where is the improvement point of instruments,whether the instruments reform theory will continue or not,whether itself has meaning or not?Where is the meaning?How to shift the angle to treat this problem,all of these are the problems that our modern musical history needs to discuss and solve.By ancient and modern shape and structure evolution of Guzheng,exploring the improvements of Guzheng's shape and structure from the view of organology as well as the improvement theory and practice of national instruments in 20~thh century,this paper applies systems theory and historical method,through the collection and arrangement,study and analysis,textual research and summary of the material,the final purpose of the whole paper is to carry out the self-criticism towards the gain and loss of the reform of Chinese national instruments.
