The management policy of private-run educational institutions in China is basically dividing the private-run institutions into “Profit institutions” and “Non-Profit institutions”,and applying the relevant policy in managing the two types of institutions.The policy has been implementing for over ten years,but the researches on its making,applying,output and satisfactory are very limited.Foshan,as one of the well-developed city with quality education development,is a suitable example for studying the management policy of private-run education institutions.This paper focused on the research on the management policy of private-run education institutions in China and taking Foshan C ity as an example,involving the policy-makers,government staff members,and the owners,principals and teachers of the private-run education institutions.Based on the data process from 425 questionnaires and 57 interview-records,the research came to an answer to the topic.The research of the paper found that,the management policy of p rivate-run educational institutions is overall satisfactory.The policy gained widely attention,and people consider the policy as reasonablely well-made,accelerating the development of private-run education institutions.The policy was well accepted by the peoples,but the applying of the policy was far from satisfactory.As the conclusion of the research,the path to improvement of the management policy of private-run educational institutions is: firstly,strengthening the communication between government departments,and the communication of the governments of the central,governmental and city level;secondly,improveing the governmence of educat ion department,and lauching the detailed polic ies in private-run education institutions management;thirdly,improving the policy-making and apply;forthly,making full use of the associations;fifthly,applying the successful experiences of developed coutnries;sixthly,increasing the popularity of the policy among the peoples.
