A Statistic Analysis Of Factors Influencing The Income Of Floating Population

With the rapid development of economy,urbanization and modernization,the gap between regions has been widening.As a result,a large number of population movements have taken place in our country.The huge floating population has made tremendous contributions to the development of cities.At the same time,it also brings some drawbacks and puts forward new requirements for the existing distribution of interests.In order to maintain social stability and maintain steady and rapid economic growth,it is urgent to solve the problem of the income of the floating population.Based on the theory of floating population and income difference,the related researches made by scholars at home and abroad and the current situation of the floating population in China,this paper used the quantitative research and statistical analysis of the correlation method to analyse the essential features and income of floating population according to the statistics of CHIP2013.The results show that the factors influencing the income of floating population may be: gender,age,marital status,nationality,political outlook,he nature of household registration,education level,employment status and so on.On this basis,this paper chooses ten factors as explanatory variables,such as gender,age,marital status,nationality,political outlook,household registration nature,education level,employment status,etc.,and the income of the floating population as explanatory variable.After classifying,it constructs a number of logit regression models,and makes an empirical study on the influencing factors of the income of the floating population.The results show that employment status and industries of employment units have significant effects on the income of floating population at different income levels.Gender and marital status have different significant effects on different income levels.Thereafter,After that,using the propensity score matching method,the above factors(gender,marital status,employment status,work unit)were taken as processing variables,and the other nine variables were taken as covariates to explore the relationship between the factors and the income of the floating populationAccording to the results of the matching method,it is indicated that the male,married,and employment status are not employees,and the industry affiliated to the work unit has a significant impact on the income increase and the males,married,employers,self-employers and employees whose companies belong to tertiary industry would get higher income.Finally,some suggestions are put forward to improve the income of the floating population.
