Practical Research On The Improvement Of Service Ability Of Elderly Volunteers In Urban Communities

China is the country with the most elderly population,and the aging of population has had a certain negative impact on China's economic,political and social development.Instead of negatively dealing with it,it is better to discover and mobilize the resources of the elderly that realize of the goal of "doing a difference in old age".Recently,the concept of "doing a difference in old age" has been recognized by more and more elderly people,and they are actively involved in community volunteering.Due to the lack of professional skills training,the services of elderly volunteers have almost no effect.Therefore,as a social worker,how to improve the service ability of elderly volunteers is a key issue that needs attention.Based on the literature on elderly voluntary service and volunteer training at home and abroad,through interviews and participatory observation methods,this article knows the current situation of the service ability of elderly volunteers in F community,then article analyzes the problems existing in the F community elderly volunteer service team and the need to improve the volunteer service ability.From the perspective of social work,based on the theory of empowerment,communication theory and social support theory,the service capacity of the elderly volunteers in the F community will be enhanced in the form of growth group activities.At the end of the article,this paper analyzes and summarizes the effectiveness of the growth group's activities,and believes that applying the group work method to the service capacity improvement of elderly volunteers has a positive effect.It not only helps the elderly volunteers to understand and sublimate the concept and spirit of volunteer service,but also enhances their sense of life satisfaction and social identity,and actively doing a difference in old age.At the same time,through the involvement of social work,they are linked with volunteer service,which reflects the social work and volunteer service in terms of values.It is conducive to more elderly people achieve "doing a difference in old age",and to promoting the healthy and stable development of Chinese elderly volunteer service.
