Objective: In recent years, the training of core strength has become more and more important in swimming training and there have been many studies all over the world on enhancing the core strength of young swimmers. The impact of core strength on the training of youth breaststroke techniques is still blank. The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of two training methods on athletes' breaststroke skills and overall performance through targeted core strength training in the experimental group and general water training in the control group during 8 weeks. This study can improve the breaststroke skills of adolescents.Provide reference and provide reference for swimming coaches' core breaststroke training methods. Methods: Twelve young male swimmers were recruited through the Shanghai Sports School. The subjects were randomly divided into the experimental group(12.66 ± 1.21 years)and the control group(12.00 ± 0.89 years)with 6 swimmers in each group. Both the experimental group and the intervention group received 8 weeks of intervention training,3 times a week and 30 minutes each time. The experimental group received core strength training at the same time the intervention group received general water training. Before and after the intervention, the subjects completed the 100-meter breaststroke test.: Use GoPro to collect the times of the period from breath to kicking in first 50 m breaststroke also the last 50 m breaststroke strokes and then collect the 100 m breaststroke test results,I even collect the angle between the legs and the water surface when rowing, the angle between the arm and the water surface when kicking, and streamline the angle between the arm and the water surface at the time, and the angle between the legs and the water surface at the streamlined time. All data are expressed as mean and standard deviation and statistical analysis performed.I use the SPSS 20.0 statistical software.Independent sample “t test”and paired sample “t test”.It is used to determine whether there are differences between the test index groups before and after the intervention between the two groups. The level of statistical difference is p <0.05,and the 95% confidence interval(95% CI)of the mean difference is calculated to quantify the degree of difference.Results:(1)Strike number and results of 100-meter strokes: Before and after the 8-week intervention, there were no significant differences in the number of strokes in the first 50 meters and the number of strokes in the last 50 meters between the two groups. After 8 weeks of intervention, two There was a significant difference in the 100-meter breaststroke performance before and after the intervention in the group(p = 0.045,95% CI 0.03-2.36).Compared with the control group, the experimental group had a greater improvement in the 100-meter breaststroke performance. There was a significant difference in the 100-meter breaststroke performance before and after the intervention(p = 0.012).Compared with the pre-intervention,the experimental group had a greater improvement in the 100-meter breaststroke performance after the intervention.(2)Angles of feet and water surface during rowing: The control group had no significant difference in the angle formed between the legs and the water surface before and after the intervention(p = 0.149).There was a significant difference in the angle between the legs and the water surface(p <0.001).Compared with the pre-intervention,the experimental group had smaller angles with the water surface after the intervention.(3)The angle between the arm and the water surface when kicking: The control group had no significant difference in the angle formed by the arm and the water surface before and after the intervention(p = 0.253).However,the experimental group had the angle between the arm and the water surface when kicking before and after the intervention. There was a significant difference(p = 0.025).Compared with the preintervention, the experimental group had smaller arm angles with the water surface after the intervention.(4)Angle during streamline: After 8 weeks of intervention, there is a significant difference in the difference between the angle between the arm and the water surface(p <0.001,95% CI 8.59-16.44)between the two groups before and after the intervention.Compared with the experimental group, the experimental group had a larger difference before and after the intervention. The control group had no significant difference in the angle formed by the arm and the water surface before and after the intervention(p = 0.496).However,the experimental group had an arm before and after the intervention There was a significant difference between the angle formed with the water surface(p <0.001).Compared with before the intervention, the experimental group had a smaller streamlined angle with the water surface after the intervention. After 8 weeks of intervention, the two groups were in the intervention There was a significant difference in the angle between the legs and the water surface(p = 0.009,95% CI 2.69-14.27)when the front and back were streamlined.Compared with the control group, the experimental group had a larger difference before and after intervention. There was no significant difference in the angle formed between the legs and the water surface during the streamline before and after the intervention(p = 0.321).However,there was a significant difference in the angle formed between the legs and the water surface during the streamline before and after the intervention(p = 0.001).Compared with the preintervention, the experimental group had smaller streamlined angles with the water surface after the intervention.Conclusion:(1)Eight weeks of core strength training can improve the 100-meter performance of young breaststroke athletes, but the effect of improving the number of strokes is not obvious.(2)The 8-week core strength training can improve the physical position of young breaststroke athletes in breaststroke techniques, including the angle of the body and the water during the hand stroke, leg stroke, and streamlined stages, and the effect is significantly better than general water training.(3)The research results suggest that core strength training can be an effective training method to improve the physical position and overall athletic performance of young breaststroke athletes.
