Since the reform and opening up,with the acceleration of urbanization process and the influx of a large number of rural labor into the city,due to the urban and rural household registration isolation and other system reasons,migrant workers in the city can not enjoy the same treatment as the citizens in terms of welfare,medical care and school.At the same time,in order to reduce the cost of living,most of the migrant workers choose to leave their children in their hometown,so there are a large number of children without parental supervision in rural areas.We call this special group "left behind children".At present,it is generally believed that the problems of left behind children in rural areas are mainly manifested in various psychological problems,learning problems,life problems,behavior problems,etc.due to inadequate guardianship and lack of family education,but less attention is paid to the social adaptability of left behind children.This study uses quasi experimental method to explore the influence of football games on the social adaptability of left behind junior middle school students.Through pre-test and post test,it is compared with sports games and physical education classes,respectively from four dimensions of interpersonal adaptability,psychological flexibility,psychological control and psychological energy.The subjects of this study are mainly junior middle school students left behind in grade three of Zhuxi middle school in Wuyuan County.Among them,32 are football game group,the students in this group play football games in physical education class;32 are sports game group,the students in this group intervene in physical education class;32 are ordinary physical education class,the students in this group have classes according to the normal physical education content.The social adaptability scale of middle schoolstudents compiled by Chen Jianwen was used to test the social adaptability of each group of students before the experiment,after the first week of the experiment(immediate effect)and after the twelfth week of the experiment(cumulative effect).Results:(1)in the first week of the experiment,football game group had significant effects on interpersonal adaptability,sense of psychological control,psychological energy and psychological elasticity;sports game group had significant effects on interpersonal adaptability,sense of psychological control,psychological energy and psychological elasticity;general physical education group had no significant effects.The football game group was more significant than the sports game group;(2)after the 12 th week of the experiment,the four dimensions of the football game group were significantly different;the three dimensions of interpersonal adaptability,psychological control and psychological energy of the sports game group were significant;the football game group and the sports game group did not have the accumulation effect.However,the multiple comparison results show that the football game group has more significant effect than the sports game group;(3)the results of this study show that the football game and sports game can effectively promote the overall social adaptability of the left behind junior high school students,and there is no significant effect in the sports class group,which may be due to the pressure of the middle school entrance examination on the third day of junior high school,and the curriculum content focuses more on the content of the physical examination,so the physical education of the left behind junior high school students In order to promote the social adaptability and mental health of left behind children,we should increase the content of sports games such as football games,effectively innovate and organize sports game courses.
