Observation Of Symptoms And Intervention Of Traditional Chinese Medicine In Patients With Allergic Rhinitis In Autumn

Objective:Biqiu is a common disease that is equivalent to allergic rhinitis(AR),vasomotor rhinitis(VMR),eosinophilic non-allergic rhinitis(eosinophilic)Nonallergic rhinitis,ENR)and idiopathic rhinitis(IR).They all have similar symptoms of modern nasal hyperreactive disease.Among them,AR has become the fifth largest chronic disease in the United States,and it is estimated that one in six Americans is affected by the disease.Nasal hyperresponsive diseases often disturb people’s normal work and study during seizures,and thus receive increasing attention in the professional and social aspects.Because AR is often closely related to other allergic diseases such as asthma,the immunological mechanism and prevention measures are also hot issues in current research.Biqiu often occurs in the spring and autumn,and the main treatment methods in Western medicine are oral antihistamines,anti-leukotrienes and glucocorticoid nasal sprays for external use to control symptoms.In severe cases,immunotherapy is used.Traditional Chinese medicine usually treats Biqiu with oral Chinese herbal decoction according to the patient’s constitution and syndrome differentiation.Sun’s sequential therapy(SST)is a combination of oral and external use of traditional Chinese medicine for nasal diseases created by Professor Sun Shuchen.According to the traditional nasal disease prescription and his own clinical experience,Professor Sun selected herbs with rich volatile oil content in the common prescriptions of the nose.In the treatment method,steam fumigation,distillation of distillate,nasal administration and internal decoction were carried out step by step or by combination of two and two,having a good therapeutic effect on a series of nasal diseases such as Biqiu.This study explored the clinical symptoms of Biqiu in the autumn,the effect of SST treatment and the scope of modern medical diseases corresponding to Biqiu,and explored the characteristics and regularity of autumn Biuqiu,and provided clinical data and ideas for TCM treatment of autumn BiqiuMethods:For the clinical study of patients with Biqiu symptoms in the otolaryngology clinic in the autumn of 2018,54 patients who met the requirements were divided into allergic rhinitis group(AR group)and nonallergic rhinitis group(NAR group)according to serum-specific IgE test results.Through the collection of medical history information and visual analog scale scores,to explore the difference in the onset and symptoms of AR and NAR patients in autumn Biqiu,to evaluate the clinical efficacy of SST in the treatment of autumn Biqiu,and to explore Biqiu’s scope and concept in modern medicineResults:1.In the autumn Biqiu patients with sneezing,runny nose,nasal itching,nasal congestion,cough,itchy eyes,and decreased olfactory symptoms were not significantly different from AR and NAR groups;2.There was no statistical difference in the symptoms of sneezing,runny nose,nasal itching,nasal congestion,cough and olfactory loss in patients with AR and NAR,but there was statistical difference in the symptoms of itching.The eye itching symptoms in AR group were significantly higher than those in NAR group;3.SST has statistically significant improvement on the symptoms of sneezing,sneezing,nasal congestion,nasal itching,itchy eyes and olfactory sensation in patients with autumn Biqiu.SST has statistically significant improvement on the above six symptoms in AR patients;4.SST had statistically significant improvement in sneezing,salivation and nasal itching in the NAR group;5.The category of TCM Biqiu should include AR and NAR,which is closer to the concept of nasal high-reactivity disease in modern medicineConclusion:1.In the autumn,patients with Biqiu have consistency with AR and NAR in terms of nasal symptoms and accompanying symptoms.The symptoms of both AR and NAR can be covered in the symptoms of patients with Biqiu;2.AR and NAR patients may show similar clinical symptoms in autumn,only the symptoms of itching are different,and the eye itching symptoms in AR group were significantly higher than those in NAR group;3.SST can improve the symptoms of salivation,sneezing,nasal congestion,nasal itching,itchy eyes and olfactory loss in patients with autumn Biqiu;the improvement of the above 6 symptoms in AR patients is also statistically significant;4.SST can significantly improve the symptoms of sneezing,salivation and nasal itching in the NAR group;5.According to the data collected in this subject,comparing the clinical symptoms and treatment effects,it shows that the category of TCM Biqiu should include AR and NAR,which is closer to the concept of nasal high-reactivity disease in modern medicine.
