Volunteer Management Research In Social Work Organizations

Volunteers are important partners of social work organizations.Effective volunteer management is not only the necessary management content of social work institutions,but also the advantage of social work organizations that are different from other social organizations.Therefore,it is of great significance to conduct research on volunteer management in social work institutions.This paper takes the LZ social work service center with more mature volunteer management as the research object,and uses the interview method and questionnaire survey method,combined with the author's internship experience,to summarize the effective volunteer management mode of the institution,namely the establishment of the volunteer team.Convergence and service quality assurance in three major aspects.On this basis,this paper extracts the social work elements of the social work organization in volunteer management,including five aspects: emphasis on needs assessment,respect for volunteers,empowerment,professional supervision and effective evaluation.At the same time,this paper also found its five shortcomings,including insufficient training,volunteers have a vague understanding of the agency's mission,lack of risk management,unclear coordination among staff,and fewer group building activities.Suggested countermeasures for these problems.At present,the social work organization has insufficient experience in volunteer management,which leads to the inability of the volunteer group to fully play the service of the social work organization.This paper takes LZ social work organization as the research object,not only sums up the better experience in volunteer management,but also combs the application of professional social work elements in volunteer management,which has certain innovation.I hope that this research can play a reference role in the volunteer management of other social organizations,and promote more social workers to apply their professional advantages to the organization's volunteer management,and give full play to the volunteer groups in the social work institutions.Important force.
