During the Republic of China,the Jiangsu government held a meeting and passed a bill promulgating a series of policies and regulations to promote the transition from traditional education to new,style education.This thesis takes Jiangsu teacher education policy in the Republic of China as the research object,and adopts three research methods:historical research method,literature analysis method and comparative method to reveal the policy formulation background,policy content and implementation effect of Jiangsu teacher education in different periods.The introduction mainly defines the relevant concepts of research(time,place,teacher education and teacher education policy),and summarizes the research status,including:a historical discussion of Chinese teacher education,and a teacher education of different natures and different regions,research on educational policy and compilation of historical materials.The introduction mainly discusses the origin of research,definition of concept,present research situation and research methods.Chapter One elaborates on the guidance of national policies and the development of teacher education in China and Jiangsu on the basis of the guidance of national policies from 1912 to 1921.Jiangsu has strengthened the supervision of teacher education,standardized all aspects of the requirements,and gave the school a little autonomy.Jiangsu has established various normal schools,and the quality of teacher education has been improved,but it has also caused some bad results.For example,the number of schools built has not reached the expected level and the school has re-established the "Reading Classics" subject.Chapter Two expounds that during the period of 1922-1931,Jiangsu studied the American education model,and under the guidance of the national conference decision,the independent status of teacher education was abolished,and the ideological control was strengthened.Therefore,the normal school in Jiangsu was included in the comprehensive school.Changes have taken place in public rural normal schools,and private rural normal schools have also begun to be created,and during this period,progressive forces have also worked hard to innovate.Chapter Three discusses that during the period of 1932-1936,Jiangsu's "Reading and Saving the Country" and the resumption of independence of teacher education in the War of Resistance Against Japan,legally re-established the independent status of the normal schools,scientifically received leadership,and paid attention to In civic education and military education,during this period,Jiangsu basically completed the independent setting up of schools,set up workshops,and provided educational internship opportunities.Chapter Four explores the influence of the teacher education power retained by the general anti-Japanese war and the government's promulgation policy during the period from 1945 to 1949.The Jiangsu government has formulated a comprehensive education plan and strict assessment standards.The normal schools have been restored and newly built,and they emphasized the guidance and services for graduates.Chapter Five expounds the teacher education policy in the Jiangsu base area and the liberated area.The policies are formulated under the background of the war,under the influence of the Communist Party's rural teacher education practice and the teacher education policy.The policy of the base area serves and promotes the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.The enthusiasm of the school has achieved good results in policy implementation,established a number of new normal schools,promoted political education,and improved the level of internship.The teacher education policy in the Liberated Areas is to prepare for rural construction and future nation-building.Conclusion summarizes the evolution,characteristics and value of the teacher education policy in Jiangsu.
