Project Management Problem And Optimization Of Karabatan Propane Dehydrogenation In Kazakhstan

According to the Belt and Road initiative,more and more projects have been set up in the CIS countries,especially in Kazakhstan.Kazakhstan have very rich oil and gas resources,and the national economy is developing rapidly in recent years,so more and more Chinese engineering companys will take part in Kazakhstan project.This paper is based on a petrochemical EPCC project in Kazakhstan,combined with the characteristics of overseas projects,study and analyze organization structure,contract management,progress control,cost control,design quality,procurement management,customer management and localization risk in the project.As per analysis results,and give optimization measures in the project management organization,schedule,quality,cost management.Besides,it also give coordinated solution in cross-cultural training,strengthening the cooperation of the partners,strengthen laws,regulations and the contract management study,local facility research,Covid-19 prevention and control.In this paper,it is summarized design,procurement,construction and project management problems in this petrochemical EPCC project at Kazakhstan,in order to help and provide reference on other project in our company and other Chinese engineering company project in the CIS countries,hopefully the paper can provide reference to improve the level of project management,strengthen risk control and promote the development of overseas projects.
