Objective:Based on the clinical data of 1474 cases of Prof.DING Yuanqing’s treatment of depression in the past 20 years,Professor Ding proposed to use "Shen Tui" as the name of TCM for depression, analyze the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease, explore its prescription medication rules and treatment methods for the treatment of depression, and provide reference for Chinese medicine treatment of depression.Method:Collected the information about patients with depression in the outpatient clinic of Prof.Ding Yuanqing from November 2006 to October 2018.The general data, medical history and clinical manifestations of the cases were statistically analyzed by Excel and SPSS software.Data mining was performed using the association rule Apriori algorithm,to analyze Prof.Ding’s prescription for treatment of depression, determine the frequency of use of various drugs in the prescription and the rules of association between drugs, and exploring Prof.Ding’s medication rules for treating depression.Result:Depression was based on the imbalance between nutrient qi and defensive qi.The yang qi stagnated is the key to the pathogenesis. The disease is related to the heart and kidney, and it is mainly caused by the heart. The long time of onset affects the kidney and damages blood vessels and brain. In the early stage of the disease,it affects qi,and for a long time,it affects the blood, and phlegm turbidity, blood stasis, fire and heat combine with each other, and it is difficult to separate. There is a difference between asthenia and sthenia in the nature of the disease, sthenic pathogenic factors is caused by qi depression, phlegm heat, stasis heat, blood stasis and so on;the deficiency of healthy qi is embodied in yin deficiency, yang deficiency, deficiency of both yin and yang, etc;mixture of asthenia and sthenia is hard to heal. The treatment first distinguishes asthenia and sthenia, replenishes asthenia and purges sthenia, and on the basis of adjusting nutrient qi and defensive qi,takes invigorating Yang Qi,making spirit happy and strengthening will as the purpose, and treats it according to the syndrome type. There are 9 common clinical syndromes:Yangyu Shentui syndrome,Yure internal disturbance syndrome, phlegm heat disturbance syndrome, phlegm heat syndrome, phlegm and blood stasis syndrome, yin deficiency yang stagnation syndrome, yin deficiency heat syndrome and yin deficiency blood stasis syndrome.Common basic medicine and compatibility:Fritillaria thunbergii,Glycyrrhiza uralensis,Tulip,Ophiopogon japonicus,Cinnamomum cassia,Paeonia lactiflora, jujube kernel,Poria cocos;Cinnamomum cassia-Paeonia lactiflora-grilled Glycyrrhiza uralensis,Fritillaria thunbergii-tulip,salvia miltiorrhiza-Prunella vulgaris,Acorus calamus-Polygala tenuifolia, etc.Characteristic medicine and compatibility:Morinda officinalis,Herba Epimedii,Rhodiola,Acanthopanax senticosus,etc;Platycodon-Fritillaria thunbergii,gypsum-Bai Wei,etc. The prescriptions created by himself such as Yishen prescription,Kaixin powder,Kaiyu Heat Dissipation prescription,Kaiyu Huatan Decoction,Yiyin Xuanyang Decoction,Yiyin Huoxue Yishen Decoction, etc, have good curative effect in clinicConclusion:Prof.DING Yuanqing’s understanding of depressive disorder has formed an academic system with complete prescription and distinct characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine. The clinical practice is to regulate nutrient qi and defensive qi,to invigorate yang qi,and to make spirit happy and strengthen will.On the basis of syndrome differentiation and treatment,we attach great importance to exhilarate yang qi of heart, adjust nutrient qi and defensive qi,and make good use of medicine, such as Overcoming depression-exhilarating yang qi,Nourishing yin-tranquilizing spirit, and Calming heart-strengthening will, for seeking the balance between Yin and Yang.
