Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of The Blockage Of Cold And Damp Periarthritis Of Shoulder By Heat-producing Needling

ObjectiveThis study was conducted in a randomized controlled clinical trial to compare the effects of heat-producing needling and even reinforcing-reducing method on Constant-Murley score,pain visual analogue score(VAS)and evaluate the overall efficacy in patients with the Blockage of Cold and Damp Periarthritis of shoulder.To investigate the efficacy of burning mountain fire acupuncture in treating periarthritis of shoulder and the possible mechanism of improving the clinical symptoms.It provides an objective basis for the clinical application of hill fire acupuncture in the treatment of cold-dampness-bi-blocking scapulohumeral periarthritis.MethodAccording to the principle of random parallel control,the 84 patients with Periarthritis of shoulder were divided into treatment group and control group,each with 42 cases.The treatment group adopted burning mountain fire and acupuncture,while the control group was treated with even reinforcing-reducing method.Visual analogue(VAS)scores and Constant Murley shoulder scores were compared before and after treatment.After treatment,an overall curative effect evaluation was conducted.Treatment results were analyzed using statistical methods.Result(1)Constant-Murley score:The constant-murley scores of the two groups were significantly different after treatment than before treatment(P<0.01),The results showed that the two groups were effective in treating cold-dampness-bi-blocking periarthritis of shoulder.Comparison between the treatment group with heat-producing needling and the control group even reinforcing-reducing method,there was a significant difference in scores(P<0.01)and he results showed that the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving shoulder joint function.(2)visual analogue score:There was a significant difference in scores between the two groups after treatment and before treatment(P<0.01),the results showed that the two groups were effective in treating cold-dampness-bi-blocking periarthritis of shoulder.After treatment,comparison between the treatment group with heat-producing needling and the control group even reinforcing-reducing method,there was a significant difference in scores.(3)The overall efficacy:The total effective rate was 97.61%in the experimental group;while the total effective rate was 90.47%in the control group.There was a significant difference in the composition of efficacy between the two treatment groups and the control group,and there was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups.ConclusionHeat-producing needling and even reinforcing-reducing method can effectively improve the symptoms of the Blockage of Cold and Damp Periarthritis of shoulder,but heat-producing needling is more effective,safe and reliable operation.It is worthy to further popularize this traditional acupuncture technique in clinic.
