| Object i veThis research aimed to study the correlation between five evolutive phases and six climatic factors and the TCM syndrome of dengue fever.Basing on clinical retrospective review of the TCM syndrome of dengue fever,the difference on TCM syndromes and pathogenesis caused by the climate changes can be explained by Yun-Qi theory from the book named Huang Di Nei Jing.And then the affect of Yun-Qi theory in diagnosis,therapy,prevention and control of dengue would be discuss.MethodsBy using the retrospective study method,the patients diagnosed with dengue fever in the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine from January 20,2017 to January 19,2019 were studied.After referencing papers,the medical record information collection form was designed according to actual needs,including general information and main symptoms.The relevant data was collected from the hospital electronic medical record system,which was recorded in Microsoft office Excel 2007 as a database.Then the data was imported into SPSS18.0 statistical software,and t-test,chi-square test,rank-sum test and cluster analysis were performed.According to the Yun-Qi theory in Huang Di Nei Jing,the possible syndromes of the two years were calculated and compared with the syndromes of dengue fever to further explore the influence of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors on the TCM syndrome of dengue fever.ResultsIn this study,a total of 657 dengue fever patients were included.Among these patients,351 patients were diagnosed in 2017,including 147 males and 204 females,and 306 patients were diagnosed in 2018,including 148 males and 158 females.The average age of dengue patients diagnosed in 2017 was(42.54±17.17),and the youngest patient is 12 years old and the oldest is 93 years old.The average age of dengue patients diagnosed in 2018 was(45.11±17.00),including the 3-year-old youngest patient and the 89-year-old oldest patient.The age of patients is mainly between 21 and 60 years.According to the cases,the peak incidence appeared in the fourth and fifth periods of Qi.The TCM syndromes of dengue fever patients in 2017 and 2018 were significantly different(P<0.001),and the same result was appeared in the fifth period of Qi(P<0.001),while less significant difference was showed in the fourth period of Qi(P>0.05).Different gender and different age groups in the TCM syndrome of dengue fever had no significant difference(P>0.05).Cluster analysis of TCM syndromes of dengue patients in 2017 and 2018 showed that TCM syndromes of dengue patients in 2017 were mainly characterized by wind,dampness and heat,while in 2018 were mainly characterized by wind,dampness,heat and fire.Basing on the Yun-Qi theory,the possible TCM syndromes of diseases in 2017 and 2018 were calculated.The results showed that dryness,wind and cold dominated the TCM syndromes of diseases in 2017,while fire,cold and wet dominated the TCM syndromes of diseases in 2018.According to the results,there is a correlation between five evolutive phases and six climatic factors and the TCM syndrome of dengue fever.ConclusionsThe five evolutive phases and six climatic factors can influence the TCM syndromes of dengue fever patients.The Yun-Qi theory can play a positive role not only in the prediction and prevention of dengue,but also in the improvement of diagnosis and therapy,which is of great value. |
