ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of meridional fluid injection in the treatment of simple obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness resistance, and to provide clinical basis for the treatment of obesity.MethodsA total of 70 obese patients with spleen deficiency and dampness resistance who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into meridional fluid injection therapy group and non-meridional fluid injection therapy control group at a 1:1 ratio.According to the principle of meridians’ flow and absorption method, acupuncture was performed in the treatment group at 11 am(9:00-11:00 am)when the splenic flow through qi and blood was the most vigorous, while acupuncture was performed in the treatment group at non-11 am.The five acupoints of the spleen meridian were selected in both groups, and zhongwan, shuihui, shuimeimen, tianshu, daheng, zusanli and sanyin were selected according to clinical experience for electroacupuncture therapy. Two times a week, each time 30min,4 weeks for a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment.ResultsDuring the treatment of the two groups,2 cases fell off in the treatment group,1 case was removed, and 3 cases fell off in the control group.A total of 64 cases were included in the statistical analysis,32 in each group. After eight weeks of treatment, the results showed:①two groups of selected cases of mean differences in gender, age, body mass,BMI,waistline, hip circumference, waist hip ratio, fat rate,no significant difference in such aspects as TCM symptom integral(P>0.05),comparable.②Intra-group comparison:body mass,BMI,waist circumference, hip circumference,waist-hip ratio and fat rate of patients in the treatment group and the control group after treatment decreased compared with those before treatment, with significant difference(P<0.05).③Comparison between groups:After treatment, the body mass,BMI,waist circumference,waist-hip ratio and TCM syndrome score of patients in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The two groups were equally effective in improving hip circumferenceand fat rate(P>0.05).④The total effective rate was 87.5%in the treatment group and 81.2%in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionTherefore,meridional fluid injection could significantly reduce the body mass,BMI,waist circumference and TCM syndrome score of patients with simple obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness resistance. |
