| ObjectiveThrough the investigation of the level of the benefit finding of the caregivers of lung cancer patients in two hospitals in two third-class hospitals in Jingzhou,the relationship between the general demographic data,disease factors,coping styles,social support and the benefit finding of the caregivers of lung cancer patients in the hospital were discussed.The factors influencing the benefit finding of the caregivers were analyzed,so as to find out the benefit finding of the caregiver as early as possible,improve its level,improve the quality of care for patients,and the corresponding nursing measures should be formulated to provide some reference.Methods1.A total of 262 pairs of patients and their caregivers who were hospitalized from June2020 to September 2020 in two third-class hospitals in Jingzhou and were diagnosed with lung cancer for one month at least and were willing to participate in the study were selected by convenience sampling.A cross-sectional survey was conducted to investigate the patients face-to-face with the general information questionnaire.The corresponding caregivers were investigated with the general information questionnaire,the Chinese version of caregivers’benefit finding scale,the social support rating scale and the simplified coping style questionnaire.2.Questionnaire was numbered in turn,the Excel software was used to input the data,and the SPSS 21.0 software was used to analyze the recovered questionnaire.3.The basic data of patients and caregivers are expressed in frequency and percentage.Descriptive statistical analysis of measurement data using mean plus and minus standard deviation.The scores of benefit finding of caregivers of lung cancer patients with different demographic characteristics were analyzed by independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to study the influencing factors of benefit finding of caregivers of lung cancer patients,exploring the correlation between the benefit finding of caregivers of lung cancer patients and social support and coping style.Pearson correlation analysis was used,and the test level wasα=0.05.Results1.Questionnaire collection:A total of 280 questionnaires were distributed in this survey.After inspection,262 questionnaires were valid,with an effective recovery rate of93.5%.2.General data of patients:There are more males in hospitalized patients with lung cancer,including 187 males(71.4%)and 75 females(28.6%).The average age was(61.5±10.05),ranging from 22 to 83 years old.Married people accounted for 93.9%.There are 148 people(56.5%)who have never been employed or lost their jobs.The educational level of most patients is junior high school,with 107(40.8%).The payment methods of patients’medical expenses are mostly new rural cooperative medical system,with 126 people(48.1%).197 patients(75.2%)were treated for the second time.The number of patients with metastatic lung cancer is similar to that without metastatic lung cancer,which is 117(44.7%)and 145(55.3%)respectively.The shortest course of illness of lung cancer patients is one month and the longest is more than 6 years.There were 117 lung cancer patients with stageⅳlung cancer(44.7%).138 lung cancer patients(52.7%)were able to take care of themselves completely,119 patients(45.4%)were able to take care of themselves partially,and few patients were unable to take care of themselves.General information of caregivers:There are 175 female caregivers(66.8%)who are in the majority and 87 male caregivers(33.2%).Caregivers ranged in age from 19 to79,with an average age of(52.02±13.59).The number of married caregivers was 240(91.6%).There are 132 unemployed people(50.4%).The educational level of junior high school is the highest,with 89 people(34.0%).The per capita monthly income of families is mostly below 2,000 yuan,accounting for 110 people(42.0%).The caregivers are mostly spouses,with 147(56.1%).121 people(46.2%)took care of them for less than three months.Most of the caregivers had no family helpers,which was 117(44.7%).245 people(93.5%)had no religious belief.There are 154 caregivers(58.8%)in rural areas and 108 caregivers(41.2%)in cities and towns.3.The total score of the caregivers of lung cancer patients is(77.18±13.753),The highest average score of each dimension item is social relationship dimension(3.68±1.02),and health behavior dimension(3.41±1.14)is in the lowest.The highest scores in individual items is let me see that everyone needs to be loved(4.28±0.945).The lowest scores in individual events is it strengthened my faith(1.57±1.175).The total score of positive coping style was(20.43±7.123).The total score of negative coping style was(9.99±4.221).The total score of social support was(40.29±6.349).The total score of subjective support was(25.56±4.705).The total score of objective support was(8.43±2.090).The total score of utilization of social support was(6.31±1.811).4.By independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA,the factors influencing the benefit finding of caregivers of lung cancer patients were:metastasis and location of the registered residence.In Pearson correlation analysis,caregivers’benefit finding was positively correlated with the total score of social support(r=0.349),subjective support(r=0.322),objective support(r=0.208),utilization of social support(r=0.146),positive coping style(r=0.576)and negative coping style(r=0.388).5.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that:the total score of social support,the utilization of social support,the positive response to simple coping style,the negative response,and whether lung cancer metastasis were the main factors influencing the benefit finding of the caregivers in the inpatient lung cancer.R~2=0.412.After adjustment,the total variation of benefit finding of the caregiver of lung cancer patients was 41.1%,which was verified.The regression equation model has statistical significance(F=37.430,P<0.001).Conclusion1.The benefit finding of caregivers of patients with lung cancer is in the middle level,which needs to be further strengthened.The score of social relationship dimension is the highest,and the score of health behavior dimension is the lowest.This suggests that nurses should urge the caregivers of lung cancer patients to improve their self-health management,pay attention to reasonable diet,proper exercise,develop good behavior and health habits,improve their own health level,to provide help for better care of patients.2.The social support level of caregivers of lung cancer patients is in the middle level,which needs to be further improved.3.The main factors influencing the benefit finding of caregivers of lung cancer patients are:total score of social support,utilization of social support,positive response of simple coping style,negative response of simple coping style,metastasis of lung cancer.In the regression analysis model,the more social support caregivers feel,the higher benefit finding.However,the utilization of social support by caregivers is negatively correlated with benefit finding.Whether caregivers use positive coping style or negative coping style,the level of benefit finding can be improved.The level of benefit finding of caregivers of patients with metastatic lung cancer was lower than that of caregivers of patients without metastatic lung cancer. |
