| According to the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education,“cooperation spirit” is an important indicator of cultivating emotional attitude.Cooperative learning in junior middle school English classes is conducive to the development of students’ English ability.Many studies at home and abroad show that cooperative learning can promote the development of students in various aspects and reduce the teaching burden of teachers.However,many English teachers in middle schools in China are carrying out cooperative learning mode without theoretical support in class,which fails to effectively improve students’ English learning ability.At the same time,some schools in China,different from traditional schools,implement mobile learning system,which adds new questions for cooperative learning.This paper focuses on how to help junior high school students to get better grades in English examinations through effective cooperative learning.The researcher first summarized critical elements of effective cooperative learning through literature reading,then interviewed English teachers in a junior high school with mobile learning system to find some valuable and practical methods of cooperative learning,then carried out a questionnaire among students to know their attitude of cooperative learning as well as their expectation.Finally,she puts forward a practical mode of cooperative learning which conforms to social psychology and other teaching theories and puts it into practice.The results show that the cooperative learning has a positive effect on students’ grades in English examinations in junior high schools with mobile learning system.This study is of significance for English teachers who wants to promote the cooperative learning and improve students’ academic performance in junior high schools with mobile learning system. |
