At the beginning of 2020,a Coronavirus set off a tsunami all over the world,developing and spreading within months,getting into human’s life in many aspects such as politics,economy,education,and social activity.And finally our world has been changed breathtakingly.Accordingly,the media have been filled with News related to the outbreak,reflecting the significant impact and changes of society caused by the epidemic.The translation practice report is based on the Youdao Reading project during the writer’s internship in Net Ease.All the passages are selected from news written by some leading news agency such as CNBC,AFP etc.And they are mainly related to the Coronavirus as it penetrates human’s life this year.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the writer made a concrete analysis of representative cases in news translation work from English to Chinese,elaborating the translation strategies from different aspects including headline,phrase and sentence in accordance with text features,finding solutions to problems and learning lessons in translation practice for future translation work.
