Effect Observation For Humeral Lateral Condyle Fracture In Children By Chinese Herbal Fumigation And Washing On The Recovery Of Elbow Joint Function

Objective: To observe the effect of Huoxue Zhitong powder fumigation combined with functional exercise on the functional recovery of elbow joint in children with humeral lateral condylar fracture after operation,and to evaluate its effectiveness,so as to provide a non-invasive and effective treatment for the functional recovery of children with humeral lateral condylar fracture after operation.Methods: From September 2020 to November 2022,100 children with lateral humeral condylar fractures(Jakob type Ⅱ and Ⅲ)were treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine by open reduction and lateral Kirschner wire fixation,and were randomly divided into two groups,with 50 cases in each group.After the operation,the children in the two groups were given quantitative functional exercise by stages every day.From the 7th week to the 12 th week after operation,the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and functional exercise(Huoxue Zhitong Powder),while the control group was treated with warm water fumigation and functional exercise.They were instructed to review regularly and explain in detail the methods and precautions of fumigation,washing and exercise.The data of vas score table,elbow flexion and extension and rotation range of motion,Mayo elbow function score were recorded as the main indicators at 6 weeks,9weeks and 12 weeks after operation.Adverse events such as scald and allergy were counted as secondary indicators.SPSS21.0 statistical software was used to statistically analyze the input data and obtain the results.Results: There was no significant difference in gender,age,injured side,fracture classification,immobilization time and other general data between the observation group and the control group(p > 0.05);There was no significant difference in VAS pain score,elbow flexion and extension range of motion,elbow rotation range of motion,Mayo elbow function score and other observation indicators between the observation group and the control group at the 6th week after operation(p > 0.05),indicating that the observation group and the control group were comparable.In the 9th and 12 th weeks after operation,the main observation indexes of the observation group and the control group were improved compared with those in the 6th week after operation,and the differences were statistically significant(p < 0.05),including the decrease of VAS pain score,the increase of elbow flexion and extension range of motion,the increase of elbow rotation range of motion,and the increase of Mayo elbow function score;The specific data results of the main observation indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group,and the differences between the two groups at the same time point were statistically significant(p < 0.05),indicating that the effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group.No adverse events such as scald and allergy were found in both groups during the treatment.Conclusion: Huoxue Zhitong Powder fumigation combined with functional exercise can effectively promote the recovery of elbow joint function in children with humeral lateral condylar fracture,which can reduce the pain of children,promote the recovery of elbow joint flexion and extension,and improve the quality of life of children.Fumigation and washing with Huoxue Zhitong Powder combined with functional exercise is effective and operable,which can be applied to the recovery of elbow joint function after operation of humeral lateral condyle fracture in children.
