Research On The Ethical Issues And Countermeasures Of The Application Of IVF-ET Technology

The number of people suffering from clinical infertility in China today is increasing year by year due to factors such as the changing environment and climate,increased stress in life and unhealthy lifestyles.2021 figures from the National Bureau of Statistics show that the infertility rate for couples of childbearing age in China has climbed to between 12% and 18%.To address the plight of this segment of the population,technology and medical practitioners have continued to explore,resulting in the steady development of IVF-ET technology,which has shown great vitality in its application.However,this technology has also led to a breakdown of the naturalness and sanctity of conceiving life,and many ethical issues have arisen in its application,affecting the stable development of society.Therefore,we have to reflect on the ethics of the use of IVF-ET technology and try to find ways to solve the problems in its application so that it can serve the people better.The first part is a basic overview of the study.This section explains the origin,purpose and significance of the topic and the current status of research at home and abroad,introduces the literature research method,descriptive research method and cross-disciplinary research method,and illustrates the innovative points such as the combination of the theory of " Managing technology with Tao " and the application of IVF-ET technology.The second part is the explanation of IVF-ET technology and its application.IVF-ET technology,or in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer technology,has evolved over decades.The application of IVF-ET technology mainly includes donor insemination,oocyte donation and surrogacy.The application of this technology has effectively solved the problem of infertility,improved the quality of the population and allowed human beings to reproduce better,which has significant application value and social significance.The third part analyses the possible ethical problems and their causes in the application of IVF-ET technology.The application of IVF-ET technology has caused ethical problems at the individual,family and social levels,such as damage to the health of the parental generation,parent-child pluralism and inbreeding of offspring,etc.The causes of the problems mainly include technical level constraints,personal moral failures and absence of social governance.The fourth part is a study of countermeasures for ethical issues in the application of IVF-ET technology.The application of IVF-ET technology should follow the traditional Chinese culture’s ethical thinking of " Managing technology with Tao ",that is,guiding and regulating the technology with ethical principles and norms,through improving institutional regulations,increasing supervision and review,strengthening education and publicity,and enhancing moral self-discipline,and other specific measures,so that the application of IVF-ET technology can eventually be free from ethical problems and To promote the orderly and healthy development of the technology and to better serve the needs of society.
