Clinical Study On Traditional Chinese Medicine Retention Enema Combined With Oral Mesalazine In The Treatment Of Large Intestine Damp-heat Type Ulcerative Coliti

Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of fumigating enema liquid retention enema combined with oral mesalazine enteric coated tablets in the treatment of patients with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis in active stage of large intestine damp heat type.Methods: Patients with ulcerative colitis in the outpatient and inpatient departments of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of traditional Chinese medicine from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected for this study.After stratification according to the degree of illness,the patients were divided into two groups by random number table method.There were 31 cases in the treatment group(fumigation enema liquid retention enema combined with oral mesalazine enteric coated tablets)and 29 cases in the control group(normal saline retention enema combined with oral mesalazine enteric coated tablets).The course of treatment was 1 month.By comparing the general conditions of the two groups and the TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment,the syndrome efficacy,colonoscopy Baron score,modified Mayo activity index,ESR,CRP The clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated.Results:The sex,age,course of disease and degree of illness of the two groups were all P > 0.05,which was comparable.The effective rate of TCM syndrome in the treatment group was 93.55%,and that in the control group was 82.76%,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.After treatment,the scores of purulent blood and stool,abdominal pain and total scores in the two groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05).After treatment,the colonoscopy Baron scores of the two groups were compared(P < 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.After treatment,the modified Mayo score of the two groups was compared(P < 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.After treatment,ESR and CRP decreased in both groups(P <0.05).Before and after treatment,the ECG,liver and kidney functions of the two groups had no obvious abnormalities and no adverse reactions.Conclusion:The combination of fumigation enema liquid retention enema and oral mesalazine enteric coated tablets in the treatment of patients with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis of large intestine damp heat type in active phase has a definite clinical effect.It can effectively improve the symptoms of patients with diarrhea,purulent bloody stool,abdominal pain and acute abdomen,alleviate the condition,promote the repair of intestinal mucosa,reduce the level of intestinal inflammation,and has good safety.It provides a new idea for the treatment of ulcerative colitis with the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine,It deserves further study.
