In recent years, the core stability training method has been widely used in the field of sports, such as all kinds of ball games, track and field sports. It is found that core stability training has a significant effect on improving athletes’ balance ability, but through literature review,it is found that this training method is rarely used in Latin dance sports. This study conducted intervention through core stability training and explored training methods conducive to improving the balance ability of students majoring in Latin dance.Research methods: The experimental objects of this study were 24 students majoring in Latin dance in Capital University of Physical Education, who were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, and the experiment lasted for 9 weeks. The experimental group used core stability training for intervention, while the control group used general physical training for intervention. It mainly adopts literature data method, mathematical statistics method and experiment method.Records were made before and after the training. Finally,SPSS was used to compare and analyze the data.Research results:In terms of static balance ability, before and after training, there was no significant difference between the left and right leg scores of the control group(P > 0.05),but there were significant differences between the left and right leg scores of the experimental group(P < 0.01).After training, the results of the control group and the experimental group showed no significant difference on the left leg(P >0.05),but significant difference on the right leg(P < 0.05).In terms of dynamic balance ability, there was no significant difference between the left and right leg of the control group before and after training(P > 0.05),but there was a significant difference between the experimental group(P < 0.01).After the experiment, there was no significant difference between the control group and the experimental group on the left leg(P > 0.05),while there was a significant difference on the right leg(P < 0.05).In the special general balance ability, before and after training, there was no significant difference in the results of the control group(P < 0.05),and the results of the experimental group had a very significant difference(P < 0.01);After training, the results of the control group and the experimental group were significantly different on both sides of the legs(P < 0.05).In the special antagonistic balance ability, before and after training, there was no significant difference in the results of the control group(P< 0.05),but there were significant differences in the results of the experimental group(P < 0.05);After training, the results of the control group and the experimental group were significantly different on both legs(P < 0.05).In the special hyperbalance ability, before and after training, there was no significant difference in the results of the control group(P > 0.05),but there was a significant difference in the results of the experimental group(P < 0.05);After training, there was no significant difference between the control group and the experimental group(P > 0.05).Research conclusion:(1)Core stability training affects the comprehensive balance ability of Latin dance students, which is manifested in static balance ability, dynamic balance ability and special balance ability(special general balance, special antagonistic balance, special super balance).(2)Both core stability training and general physical training can have a positive impact on the balance ability of Latin dance specialized college students, but core stability is more targeted to improve the balance ability, the improvement range is better than the general physical training.
