After the Russo-Japanese War,Japan’s mainland policy entered the second stage, and its main target of aggression was Northeast China(Manchuria),and the main agency of aggression was the Imperial Palace of the Kwantung Army and the South Manchuria Railways Company(hereinafter referred to as “SMR”)established in Manchuria after the war.SMR was the pioneer of Japan’s mainland policy.SMR was to Manchuria just like the British East India Company was to India. It not only had huge funds and relations, but also played a leading role in Japan’s policy towards Manchuria, which was also known as the "State Policy Society".At the general meeting of shareholders in November 1932,SMR decided to increase the capital by 220 million yen, bringing the total capital to 660 million yen. However, because the agreement between the Kwantung Army and the "Puppet Manchukuo" confirmed that the "Puppet Manchukuo" new railway line plan was entrusted to the implementation of the Manchukuo, the old capital increase budget did not involve the construction of the new line. Finally SMR formulated the new capital in early 1933,decided to increase the capital to 800 million yen,and in communication with the related financial institutions in 1933 after a SMR provisional shareholders meeting on March 6,decided to increase capital. On March 11,"Matters concerning the Subscription of shares of SMR" was submitted to the plenary session of the House of Representatives, approved by both houses of Parliament, and announced on March 28,1933.Under much publicity, the capital increase of SMR was carried out smoothly. This paper mainly analyzes and studies the capital increase problem, which is the most important part of SMR’s huge capital composition. This paper is divided into three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The first part is the introduction, which mainly describes the research object and the significance of the topic, introduces the research status and writing ideas at home and abroad, and puts forward its own innovation and shortcomings. The second part is the main text, composed of the second and three chapters. The second chapter mainly describes the operation of SMR under the resistance of the northeast people and the impact of the economic crisis in the 918 Incident to seize the opportunity to survive, the operating state slowly from the downturn to the recovery of the historical facts. The third chapter mainly describes the slow recovery of SMR after the "September 18" Incident, because in addition to the construction of transportation facilities,SMR also paid special attention to the recovery of other basic industries such as iron, coal, electrical, and so on,and showed a positive investment attitude not only to the railway, but also to all important industries.Influence is composed of Chapter Four.It mainly narrates the historical fact that SMR reached its peak after capital increase, but because the Kwantung Army implemented the controlled economy in the "Puppet Manchukuo",its political status was declining and it still tried to plunder the capital of northeast China under the controlled economy. The third part is the conclusion, which summarizes the text content. In modern times,Japan’s colonial management has been imitating the western management model since Taiwan, especially the colonial management of SMR.In short, the distorted development of SMR capital is one of the microcosm of the economic development of Japanese imperialism. All the capital of SMR is also used to serve the needs of colonial management and waging war, which is one of the important means of the development of capitalism in modern Japan.
