Coal and gas outburst is the synthesize result of stress, gas, coal physics mechanics etc. It is indicated by domestic and overseas mining practice that the district where coal and gas outburst is territorial, the disaster occurrence area accounts for only 8%~20% of whole mine district. In this paper, geo-dynamic zoning method was used to research regional geology structure, multi-factor pattern recognition method was applied to predict regional coal and gas outburst danger. Based on theory analyst and the relation among the factors affecting coal and gas outburst, the norm and model of pattern recognition were established, then the design and algorithm of pattern recognition system were completed, on which the probability prediction norm were certain and the development of coal and gas outburst regional prediction system was completed. The mining area was then divided into coal and gas outburst dangerous area threat area and safety area, to assess and predict the danger of coal and gas outburst, the accuracy of gas of coal and gas outburst predict was improved.
