The Study Of Ecological Crisis And The Eco-Civilization Turn

The ecological crisis reflects the crises grounded in modern industrial civilization,and precisely is a result caused by the inner "four logics" of this civilization,i.e.,dualistic antagonism,homogeneity, progressive value and maximum approach,which are anti-natural law essentially.Therefore it is necessary for us to hold a new logic perspective which is different from the old ones in order to reduce the impacts of eco-crisis.In mean time the balance between four sort of relations must be kept,i.e., balances between environmental protection and eco-improvement,industrial development and eco-civilization,local interests and global ones with that eco-environment approach concerned,and present concerns and human future.Also the transit from modern industrial civilization to eco-civilization must be targeted through the creative way of thinking and effective institutions.Speaking broadly,eco-civilization demonstrates a kind of new way of life,based upon eco-rules, guided by life philosophy in the context of contemporary eco-crisis,hence it is probably an kind of emerging new model of civilization.The goals it aims to achieve are:expand social productive forces, bring about prosperous and ecological improvement.It not only shows that the human kind is beware of its own activities' negative impacts onto the Nature and the awakening from the pattern of traditional production,but also explain the reasons why global great efforts have been contributed to eco-civilization.At this point,it maybe concluded that eco-civilization is the sum total of this new way of life ranging from levels of material,institutional arrangement to spirit.Consequently,eco-civilization has Triple Values,i.e.,Internal Ecological Value,Multiple Economic Values,Rich Spiritual Values.This comprehensive project suggests to reconsider the essences of Nature,to redefine the needs of human-being,to understand further the eco-system's significances (ecological,economic and cultural) to humanity,and try to make them true.Based on this point, eco-civilization concentrates to satisfy the multifold needs of human society from ecological, environmental,prosperous to cultural etc.,and to bring about the perfect harmony between Nature and Mankind.To this end,forestry enters on this project and integrates all efforts of variety of departments, industries and professions.It intends to construct three systems in national-wide and strengthen the modernization of the Chinese environmental protection in terms of eco-civilization.
