Propeller is a critical part of crystallizer, the geometry shape and dimension of which determine the flow field in the crystallizer. The traditional design method of propellers is calculating the surface of propeller from table of offsets, which is low-precision and time-consuming. The dynamic flow performance couldn't be forecasted by this method. The traditional manufacturing method of propellers is basically hand operations requiring considerable skill, time and effort. On the basis of CAD/CAPP/CAM/CAE integration method and theory, this dissertation investigated the optimal method of propeller based on flow field and structure and the CAD/CAPP/CAM/CAE integration system based on generalized modular method for propeller is developed. The main content of this dissertation is listed as follow:1. The present status and trends in research on crystallizer, design and manufacture of propeller, design method of parameterization and variant, technology of feature modeling and CAE are reviewed. The contents and goals of the project are put forward.2. The deficiency of traditional design and manufacture method of propeller is analyzed, the solution for these problems is put forward and the product data model and process model for propeller are built up. Then the integration technology is investigated and the frame is constructed.3. The basic theory of generalized modular method is explained and is used in the module-division of crystallizer. The propeller is divided as a flexible module. The surface of propeller is divided as virtual module for the purpose of manufacture.4. On the basis of analyzing the theory of crystallization and dynamics, the characterization of the saturated solution in the crystallizer is got. By varying the main structure parameter of propeller and multi-parameter optimization calculation, the regularity of flow field and the most suitable parameters are got. 5. The propeller is belong to the thin-wall and jib-arm part, and it is needed to analyzing the strength and rigidity. The software of ANSYS is used to optimize the structure of propeller based on parameterization and the function of optimal thickness of blade is got.The basic theory of feature technology is investigated, and the technology of CAPP based on feature technology is presented. The interference during machining is analyzed and the relative solution is put forward in three-axis6. machining.7. Based on the commercial CAD/CAM system UNIGRAPHICS and the secondary developing tool, object-oriented programming language VC++ and table database Access the CAD/CAPP/CAM/CAE integration system for propeller is constructed.
