Nowadays manufacturing is facing great change in market requirements. Whether can a company adapt to this reformation mainly depends on whether its product can successfully match customized demands. This thesis introduces a method and technology system for extendable product configuration transformation and evolutionary design. It systematically researches on modeling method based on product function requirements, and introduces product configurational transformation oriented extendable product family model through analogue theory and extension theory. This thesis highlights customer requirement that is the source and outcome of product design.Principal contents including:Chapter 1 firstly introduces the environment change and relevant problems of manufacturing enterprise. And then analyzes information modeling of customer requirements and key technology of product configurational transformation design. It mainly introduces transformation design based on configuration, transformation design based on structure substitution, transformation design based on evolution, and transformation design based on analogue principle. And then introduces problems that need further study and solution. This chapter figures out the research object and the literal frame of the entire thesis.Chapter 2 analyzes the effect of function requirements in product design and manufacturing, and how to obtain and handle function requirement information. Aiming at the current problem of lacking means to obtain and describe requirement information, it establishes an interactive function requirement communication model based on WEB technology. It realizes fuzzy-frame concluding method and configurational inferring method based on regulations.Chapter 3 defines the conceptions of product module and product family in product design process. It analyzes the functions, principles and structure of product family. It then analyzes the features of configuration-oriented transformation design. This chapter at last introduces the dynamic model of configurational transformation oriented product family following the discussion on fundamental of product family.
