The competitive position of machinery products in the home and overseas market rests most with the quality of the product. And with the apace development of modern scientific technology and increasingly competitive severity of market, the technology content and complexity degree are increased continually. The quality is the generalization quality including Q (Quality), C (Cost), T (Time), E (Environment) and S (Service) that consumer's demands of products. The quality of products rest with investigation and exploitation of products mostly, especially the design of products. The product designing can endow the product with the essential character of predominance or coarseness. So for most products, the product design has extremity important effect on the quality of the products.Over a long period of time, the science and technology researchers try to satisfy the consumer's demands of product generalization quality with investigation and exploitation, and increase the quality of new manufacture product. Up to now, tens of design methods are presented aimed to synthesis capability and generalization quality, such as concept design, reliability design, dynamic design, optimization design, intelligent design, virtual design, green design, et al. Though these design methods can fulfill the demand of product generalization quality from different aspects, localization still existed. It is impossible to adopt all the methods to design product. So the method that effected significantly can be adopted, the method that only achieved basis demand of product quality will adopted befittingly in the design process, and the method that not important will not adopted entirely.Hereby, the "1+3+X" synthesis design method aimed to synthesis capability and generalization quality of modern machinery products was presented. The "1+3+X" synthesis design method based on dynamic theory, intelligent control theory and computer technology. The core composed of dynamic optimization design, intelligent design and visual design. And the goal of "1+3+X" synthesis design method is to enhancing the synthesis capability and generalization quality of products. And the application of synthesis design method on continuous static hydraulic pile machine and vibratory pile driver-extractor design were studied.The frame of "1+3+X" synthesis design method theory was established in this paper. The synergetic way of dynamic optimization design, intelligent design and visual design was founded. The nonlinear dynamic optimization design theory and method with the main content of dynamic design and reliability design, intelligent design theory and method with the aim of working parameter and working process control and visual design theory and method with the content of visual assembling process and working process were elaborated.
