In recent years, with the development of economic globalization, market competition is more and more intense. In order to maintain the market competitiveness, the products designed by enterprises have to meet customer needs and have high quality. Product quality forms in the design stage, transfers and affects the course of the manufacture and application. Quality design is the most critical stage, and it's the source of product quality also. Statistics show that 70 percent of product quality is determined by the design stage. Taking an effective quality management method to achieve the quality assurance in design stage is very important. Therefore, give full consideration to market demand, and take effective quality management practices to ensure the quality in the early stage of product development is an important research topic.The paper starts from the form and development of quality management. After the analysis of the total quality management, the paper puts forward the idea that management approach must be adapted to the modern manufacturing model to achieve the quality assurance. Secondly, the paper emphasizes to the study of QFD, and put forward the model of product quality design based on CSCW. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a systematic method which adopts the theory of multi-levels deductive analysis. It puts customers' demands into the process of product design, emphasizes the product design must be oriented by market, based on clients'demand, and considered the blue print at the beginning which ensure the design quality. QFD has the characteristic of Concurrent Engineering, also. It protests persons that has the relationships to the products lifecycle should take part in the product design process. The member is come from design department, produce department, and market department. Research indicates that the theory of CSCW ensures the feasibility of CE.The thesis develops the system of product quality design based on CSCW.This system collects clients'demand information through network, and analysis the information through FHAP. The HoQ editor module programmed by VC++ make the original information transfer to design demands, hardware demands, craftwork demands and manufacture demands successfully.At last, the paper takes the grinding coal machine as an example for system testing.The results proved that the use of the subject of product quality collaborative design can shorten the product development cycle and achieve the optimal scheme.
