Enhance of the velocity of missile launching is limited by the time ofmissile transshipment for a long period. Missile transshipment from load vehicle to launch vehicle directed by manpower by crane is a hard and long time waste work and is inaccurate. The development of industrial automatization and requirement for missile transshipment fleetly leads to the development of manipulator that can load missile automatically. Success of research and engineering of manipulator will improve response ability of missile campaign. To realize automatization of missile transshipment, the relative dimensional position between the two vehicles must be measured fleetly and accurately. The research in this paper is based on the theory and methods of measurement technique.This paper is discoursed about noncontact measurement methods and how to improve measurement precision. It comprises the following contents:1) Theory on three-dimensional measurement in computer vision is researched. Principle and basic structure of passive and active position measurement methods are reviewed based on which the measurement method by linear CCD is put forward.2) The measurement method that scans targets by rotating linear CCD vidicon is established, which applied to the position measurement device in this paper.
