The collaboration and integration of mechanics engineering, computer and automatic control, composes many kinds of Mechatronic products or systems. The process of these products developing demand of multi-disciplines expert collaborating, Virtual Prototype (VP) technology is just one of the solutions of multi-expert collaborative design. On the other hand, the design ideal based on VP is an effect method for mechatronic product prophase concept design, and it is one of important factors to improve the ability of mechatronic product development and technology innovation.Through analyzing the demand of VP technologies by mechatronic products design, presenting situation and features of mechatronic products development, the theory of VP design, key enable technologies, architecture and its implementation methods of mechatronic VP collaborative simulation supporting environment is dissertated in this dissertation, the focus of researching works are principles and applications of generalized execute machine sub-system dynamic modeling and simulation, collaborative running mechanism between mechanics and control, composes structure and building method of simulation model-warehouse, and the basic principle and implementing frame of mechatronic product distributed interactive simulation. The main characteristics and creative ideas of the dissertation are as follows:(1) Based on analysis of mechatronic products composes and features, the VP applications in mechatronic products design is put forward, including design methods, design flow and characteristics of mechatronic VP. A mechatronic product design closed-loop model based on VP technology is also presented.
