Geological environment has connection with most aspects of living, the research about it increasingly arose people's attention and interesting. In the past few years, the research about it concentrate on the relation between geological environment and city planning and the relation between engineering geology and single building's foundation type, but relatively less research the relation between the campus or small living building area project which contains many buildings and geological environment, especially, the relation between geological environment and planning,construction,management take campus project as whole.In the paper, author conclude firstly the condition and development of geological environment, and the relation between it and project's selecting location, planning, foundation type, and new model developing of project management, and based on the practice experience of Changsha University of Science and Technology, Yuntang, thoroughly research the relationship between geological environment and campus project, discuss the campus project's location, planning, foundation type, and conclude the experience of applying the PARTNERING model for project management. The main research works and obtained conclusions are as follows:1. The selecting location for project decide if the success is for construction project and it very closely related with the safety, technology, investment, future management of project. Based on geological environment and evaluation of the safety, technology, economy scientifically and comprehensively, make research on selection of new campus location. The results showed good effect. The Practice is success and the experience is valid for campus construction.2,Geological environment is an important factor for planning campus project. The planning has connection with the function distribution,feasibility of technology, saving investment. Traditionally, people plan the campus project from safe and esthetics, considerate less geological environment. In practice, the relation between geological environment and project is very tight, for example, the terrain, physiognomy, engineering geology and so on .They directly decide the technological difficulty and investment, and affect the safety and management of building. So, in order to reach the object of safety, beauty and saving investment, must think and take advantage of geological environment, scientifically position all function area, and regulate the building's location based on the engineering geology of the field.3,Take full advantage of intrinsic geology and physiognomy condition in planning garden, pay much attention to handle profound physiognomy condition, reserve the hill of north garden and form the center man-made lake based on intrinsic ponds, save cost of project and beautify the campus. The practice proved that use of intrinsic geology and physiogonomy condition could be got excellent results.4,The relation between geological environment and foundation type is not only a important technical problem, but also is a important techno-economic problem. Practice of selecting appropriate foundation type based on the factors of geological environment on different field has satisfied the object of secure use, technical feasibility, saving investment.5,Research the selecting foundation type with value engineering means, that is a beneficial test and gained good effect, saved project investment.6,Profit from management. The large scale campus project is a huge engineering and the managing content is very numerous and jumbled, the difficulty of management is very great, foundation on the trait of campus project and systematic research of modern project management theory, we introduce PARTNERING model for project management into Changsha University of Science and Technology at Yuntang, the practice proved that the model is prosperous for campus project, obtained the prospective profitable object, implement the control of three object (quality, schedule and cost), effectively reduced the occurence of counterclaim and prevented from risk, comparatively successfully complete the construction of project.
