The Clinical Effects And Immunologic Function Study On Treating Common Warts By Mie-you Ointment

Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effects and to investigate its effective mechanism based on immunity levels of Mie-you ointment on common warts.Methods: Sixty cases of common warts were divided randomly into the trial group and the control groups(thirty cases each group). The trial group was treated with Mie-you ointment and the control group with phthiobuzone for external use.The clinical curative effects were observed comparatively. The serum levels of immunoglobuhin (IgG,IgAand IgM),the percentage of LBT and Et,T-lymphocyte subsets,IL-2 and sIL-2Rwere measured in 60 patients with common warts before and after treatment and were compared with those of 30 healthy volunteers.Results:The general curative effective rate of the trial group was 93.33% and the control group was 73.33% which showed a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The relapse rates of the trial group and the control group were 8.00% and 43.75% comparatively which1 showed a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). As more, the necessary treatment-period of cured cases of common warts in the trial group was significant shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05).2 The serum levels of IgA and IgM in both groups were not significantly different (P>0.05) as compared with those in healthy volunteers, but the serum levels of IgM,T-lymphocyte subsets,IL-2 and sIL-2R as well as the percent of LBT and Et were significantly unnormal (P<0.01).3 Before and after the treatment, the serum levels of IgG,IgA and IgM had no changes in the patients in both groups. It was shown that the percentage of LBT and Et as well as the serum levels of T-lymphocyte subsets,IL-2 and sIL-IR were significantly improved in the trial group after treatment, as compared with those before treatment, the difference was significant (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and those had no significant changes in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:Mie-you ointment have better curative effects for external use on treating common warts than that of phthiobuzone. Improving the cellular immunologic function of patients with common wart is probablely the important mechanism of Mie-you ointmen.
