The Clinical Study Of Clearing Away Heat And Relieving The Toxin Therapy On TGF β And VEGF In Rheumatoid Arthritis

In this paper, applying the theory of TCM and integrated traditional and western medicines, the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in active stage is approached systematically from theoretical, clinical and experimental aspects. Research suggests that heat, dampness, blood stasis and toxin obstructing the meridians and invading the joints of limbs is the main pathogenesis of RA. The main therapeutic method has been set up which is to clear away heat, relieve the toxin, eliminate dampness, remove the obstruction in meridians, activate the blood and disperse stasis. Accordingly, Xiaobi Group is produced to apply as treat group, contrasting with Shirebi Medicinal Granules as control group. 60 cases have been observed in the clinical study. The result proves that the thearapy of clearing away heat and relieving the toxin could improve the clinical symptoms,signs and laboratory examinations.The effective rate of treat group is 86.7%, which is significantly superior to that of the control group (76.7%,P<0.05).Results shows that this therapeutic method has effects of reducing the levels of TGF β and VEGF in serum , which have abnormally changed in RA patients .The operating mechanisms of this therapy covers inhibiting inflammation, regulating immune function and so on.The resent study on TGF β and VEGF of RA in morden medicine,as well as general treatment conditions of TCM have been talked over at the end of the paper.
