Coronary heart disease (CHD) does severe harm to human body in the present age. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment based on disease integrating with syndrome has obvious advantages to acquire curative effect on CHD in clinic. The syndrome of phlegm accumulating with stagnation (TYHJ) is the most familiar syndrome in CHD. To research into the pathological changes of TYHJ in patients with angina pectoris, under the diagnosis standard of CHD and syndrome differentiation standard of TYHJ syndrome, we investigate 60 patients with angina pectoris in hospital. Theory study: There is five parts in theory study. The first part: traced back to the origin, the development, summed up content of Phlegm Stagnation Derived from Same Fountainhead (TYTY) of all ages. The second part: searched for the relationship between five viscera and TYTY. The third part: treatment based on syndrome differentiation under TYHJ syndrome to patients with angina pectoris. The fourth part: researched the development of impersonal index of patients with angina pectoris and the syndrome of TYHJ. The last part: discussed the effects of the ingredients of GeLanXinNing soft capsule (GLXN) on patients with coronary heart disease. Clinical study: Based on the principle of randomed, doubled blindedand double imitation, 60 angina pectoris patients we're divided into the GLXN group and FuFangDanShen ( FFDS ) group, each group was 30 patients. The course of treatment for both groups was 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, observed and compared the symptoms of the patients, and blood viscosity , blood-lipid(include cholesterol , triglyceride, lowdensity lipoprotein, highdensity lipoprotein, oxido-lowdensity lipoprotein), ET, NO, IL-6 and CRP level were detected respectively. According to these collected data, judge and evaluate the effectiveness of prescription corresponding with syndrome treatment and prescription not corresponding with syndrome. And the curative effect of the traditional medical syndrome and angina pectoris were observed respectively. Results: The total curative effect of the traditional medical syndrome of GLXN group and FFDS group was 83. 33% and 73. 33% respectively. The total curative effect of angina pectoris of GLXN group and FFDS group was 76. 66% and 63. 33% respectively, Two groups was analyzed by Radit analysis, the difference was significant (P<0. 05).The blood viscosity was decreased significantly than those before treatment (P<0. 01 or P<0.05) in two groups. Cholesterol (TCH) and triglyceride (TG) and lowdensity lipoprotein (LCL-C) was obviously decreased (P<0. 01 or P<0. 05) in GLXN group, and meantime highdensity lipoprotein (HDL-C) was obviously increased (P<0.01); Meanwhile TCH, TG and LDL-C were significant decreased (P<0. 05) in FFDS group, HDL-C was not obviously changed. The level of ET, IL-6 and CRP were decreased obviously in two groups after treatment, and meanwhile the level of NO was increased in GLXN group. Conclusion: GLXN could improve the blood viscosity, and decreased the level of LDL, TCH, TG, ET, CPR and IL-6, and increased the level of HDL, NO. So GLXN has the function of protecting vascular endothelium, inhibiting thrombosis and improving artherosclerosis.
