Study Of Scalp-Acupuncture On Protection And Time Window Of MCAO Rat

It is my tutor's experience points penetrating Bai Hui and Qu Bin, Bai Hui and Qian Ding points during long clinic experiment . These points have significant effective in treating Stroke. Thread approach method was used making focal cerebral ischemia model and observing The treatment function in MCAO rats. We analysed acupuncture mechanism by apoptosis genes. At the same time , we discussed the selecting time of acupuncture. The experiment showed:1. Acupuncture penetrating Bai Hui and Qu Bin, Bai Hui and Qian Ding points could improve neurologic deficit of rats, decrease the infarction volume. It indicated acupuncture possess significant protecting brain function on MCAO rats.2. Acupuncture penetrating Bai Hui and Qu Bin, Bai Hui and Qian Ding points could result in a dramatic decrease of apoptosis cells in ischemic penumbra and improve pathologic change in ischemic area. It indicated the protective function of acupuncture relates to the depressing apoptosis cells and improving pathologic change in ischemic area.3. Acupuncture could increase expression of bcl-2 and c-fos genes, decrease expression of Bax gene , enlarge the ratio bcl-2/bax in ischemic penumbra. That revealed the function relatedto acupuncture protect ischemic penumbra and depress apoptosis.4. Acupuncture penetrating Bai Hui and Qu Bin, Bai Hui and Qian Ding points could expand the expression of GLUT₃mRNA in ischemic penumbra of MCAO rats and progress the energetic metabolism of cerebral content. That hinted the protective function related to the progressing GLUT₃mRNA.
