Objective:To study the uterine pathological changes of uterine artery embolization with PVA particle, Bletilla colloid, observe the influence with two drugs respectively to uterine, and to determine the efficacy, safety and related characteristics of bletilla colloid as a vascular embolization agent. Methods First bilateral uterine artery are ligated, and uterine tissues were confirmed no necrosis by pathology. Then using the Seldinger technique, embolic materials were injected in the bilateral uterine artery respectively and the uterine tissues pathological changes were observed. At last, the pathological results quantitative analysis was alone with integral weighted method, and the damaged organs were evaluated.Related characteristics of bletilla colloid were studied. Results: The blood of uterine is mostly supplied by bilateral uterine artery and it is abundant, the sample means were compared between ligated group and embolic groups,P>0.05.That means there was no difference with uterine tissues of all treatments. The bletilla colloid was with good histocom patibility and hemocom patibility, mainly embolized peripheral arteries and without form action of collateral circulation, without cytonecrosis. Conclusion:The uterine tissues changement doesn't show difference when we chose the embolic material, and Bletilla colloid, safe and effective in use with angioembolic function and characteristics of carrier and slow-release, is a potential peripheral embolizationagent.
