Chapter One Pharmacological Effection of Epimedium Pubescen Flavonoid on the Bone Mineral Density,Biomechanical Properties, Bone Morphology and Biochemical Markers of Bone Metabolism in Experimental RatsPart one Pharmacological Effection of Epimedium Pubescen Flavonoid on the Bone Mineral Density in the Experimental RatsObjective: To explore the pharmacological effection of Epimedium Pubescen Flavonoid(EPF) on the bone mineral density(BMD) in the experimental rats.Method: Sixty Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats(aged 2-month-old) were randomly divided into six groups(n=10). There were five male rats and five femle rats in each group, and the male and female rats had been fed in different cage, sham control group(Group A); model group(Group B); control group(Group C); treated 1 group(Group D); treated 2 group(Group E) and treated 3 group(Group F). Except the sham control group(Group A), the other groups had been exposed daily to passive cigarette smoking for four months basing on the adytum fuming method.
