The Alterations Of VEGF Expression And Chemotherapeutic Sensitivity In Antisense Blocking PTTG On Cholangiocarcinoma Cell Line

Part one A study of the expressions and correlations of PTTG and VEGF in cholangiocarcinomaObjective To investigate the expressions and correlation of PTTG and VEGF proteins in cholangiocarcinoma. Study the roles of its expressions in the development of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.Methods Expression of PTTG and VEGF protains was detected by SABC immunohistochemical technique in 36 cases of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, 30 cases of adjacent histologically noncancerous bile duct and 10 cases of normal biliary duct lesions.Results The positive rates of PTTG and VEGF proteins were 72.2%(26/36) and 83.3%(30/36) in cholangiocarcinoma and 6.7%(2/30) and 13.3%(4/30) in adjacent histologically noncancerous bile ducts. The express of PTTG protein was significently positive correlated with that of VEGF protein (P<0.001) in cholangiocarcinoma. In contrast,no expression of PTTG and VEGF protains were detectable in 10 cases of normal bile duct lesions (P<0.01). The express of PTTG and VEGF were related to metastasis of extrahepatic cholangiocarcionoma.Conclusions There was significant positive correlation between high expressions of PTTG and VEGF proteins in cholangiocarcinoma. The high expressions of PTTG and VEGF proteins maybe related to the metastasis of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
