| Objective:To explore the expression of VEGF and PTTG in different pathological level of the glioma expressioni and the relationship between them. And to expound their mechanism in hope of making help to the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of glioma.Methods:immunochemistry was applied to detect the exp-ression of VEGF and PTTG protein among66cases ofdifferent pathological grades gliomas(grade â… ï½žâ…¡ grade â…¢ and grade â…£) and12cases of normal brain tissue.Results:VEGF and PTTG hardly expressed in cases of normal brain tissue; however, among66cases of gliomas the positive expressions of VEGF and PTTG were74.2%and66.1%cases respectively. The expressions of grade â… ï½žâ…¡, grade â…¢ and gradeâ…£ were different significantly from one another,and as the increase of the tumor level as the increase of expression (P<0.05). Thus the expression of VEGF and the expression of PTTG protein in the glioma is positive correlation with each other(r=0.718, P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression level of VEGF and PTTG grows with the increase of pathological grades. The expression of VEGF and PTTG is also positive correlation(r=0.718, P<0.05),and that together promote the occurrence and development of glioma.Therefore, the quantitative evaluation to the expression of VEGF and PTTG would be an index for judging the malignance degree and the prognosis of the patients with brain glioma. |
