Studies On Bio-active Constituents Of Three Species Of Medicinal Plants

In this paper, we studied on chemical constituents from Ervatamia yunanensis, Evodia rutaecarpa and Schisandra sphenanthera.In systematically investigating the chemical constituents of Ervatamia yunanensis, 44 compounds obtained from this plant and 28 of those were characterized on the basis of spectral properties and chemical-physical properties. Among them, 1 was new compound and 18 were isolated for the first time from this plant.Further investigation on the chemical constituents of Schisandra sphenanthera gave 24compounds. Twenty-two compounds were identified based on their spectral characteristics. To observe the influence of schisandrone on the levels SOD,GSH-Px,CAT of rats with Alzheimer like disease (AD) and study memory ability through the Morris water maze software, suggesting that it may have protective effect on AD.Two new quinazolinedione alkaloid was isolated from the fruits of Evodia officinalis together with three known alkaloids, This structures was elucidated by means of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic analysis. Two new quinazolinedione alkaloid showed moderate cytotoxicity against Hela and HT1080 cell lines.
