Based on the field-work and studies in two Naze villages between Yunnan and Sichuan provinces, this thesis refers to discussions of the spatiality and knowledge reproduction, especially with the context of nationalization and globalization. This area, as a part of Zang-Yi Corridor, has double natures:routeway and fringe. The ethnic group Naze has the cultural pluralism, which should be given as being valid for us in each case within the life world. So I employ in my study with an analysis on the plural traditions and histories in the "place". In the lengthy period, the Naze and its neighbor groups have a fluidity which give shapes of the cultural pluralism in the area. Then the study discusses the spatial representation in Naze Culture, and Naze as a House Society in which how spatiality participates in the reproduction of knowledge and historical sense.Tu Si was a fundamental system in the Empire Image. This thesis casts back the history through the last century in this area, gives a panorama of the interaction between the center and the fringe. In this area the ethnic gourps have their own historical mapping and spatial recognition. I studied the primary ceremony and found the spatial representation give shapes to the identify of the groups. Therefore this thesis should be regarded as a knowledge ethnography in (and between) the area(s). The attention has been focused on the pluralism in the cultures and traditions.
