With reform of holiday system and more attention paid to health by people, hot spring tourism which has characteristics of leisure and in-depth experience favored by more and more, people. The short-sighted action with profits of hot spring tourism destination cause wasting even exhaustion of hot spring. For hot spring in Gansu with limited water volume, development of hot spring destination is limited in tourism resource, economic, location, so study on sustainable development mechanism and development order of hot spring can provide reasonable theoretical foundation. Designing for tourism product and made tourist attained satisfied experience, which is main path of enterprise attained comparative advantage. Study of drive of tourist experience——traveling motivation and quality of tourist experience——satisfaction is necessary, which can explain drive mechanism of hot spring tourism from macroscopic aspect and acting factor of tourist satisfaction in microscopic aspect.(1) Study g sustainable development mechanism of hot spring. Take Tianshui and its northern-southern adjacent area which is the most favorable uplift-fracture-convection type geothermal resources for example, analyze chemical and isotopic characteristic of thermal waters, traced the origin of thermal waters and evaluate reservoir temperature and circle depth of thermal waters. The results demonstrate that thermal waters in Tianshui and its northern-southern adjacent area are of meteoric origin, they are mainly bicarbonate water and sulfate water. Assessments from various chemical geothermometer applied on the geothermal waters suggest the probable existence of a deep geothermal reservoir of middle-low enthalpy (70~111℃) with depth of 1.91-3.08km. Evaluate reservoir temperature with many kinds of geothemometer and verify accuracy and sphere of application of every geothemometer.(2) Evaluation of development order of hot spring. Analytical Hierarchy Process and Delphi Method were employed to construct development order model of hot spring from point of tourism function system. Select quantifiable evaluating factors in order to improve objectivity and veracity in the study of temporal evaluation on hot spring tourism destination. The results demonstrate that weighing of condition of tourist development is far higher than that of condition of tourism resource. A case study of temporal evaluation on 25 hot spring in Gansu province is applied and put forward that six hot spring have priority of developing, eight hot spring wait for the proper time to develop and other eleven hot spring are unfit to develop, and some strategy is offered.(3) Study of motivation and satisfaction of hot spring tourist. Based on tourist motivation theory and experience-performance differential model, this dissertation obtains the firsthand materials on tourist traveling motivation and restricting factors influencing tourist satisfaction in three hot spring tourist destination in Gansu from questionnaire investigation. Firstly, Factor analysis were employed to analyze that six factors of traveling motivation of hot spring tourist have been identified, the further analysis classifies the tourists into four types based on scores of the six factors:type one (relax); type two (ego development); type three (friendship); type four (pursuing multipurpose). Which suggest that traveling motivation of hot spring tourist originate from inner power of push. In the matter of market segmentation, the author segment market in the way of "tourist motivation+behavior+experience quality" then depict a more humanized target tourist group. Secondly, variance analysis was employed to analysis characteristics of different type of hot spring tourist, the results is that tourists have significant difference in three aspects:education, occupation and accommodation. Lastly, a modified IPA was employed to evaluate tourist satisfaction, the study finds that the overall tourists’perceived performance is lower than expectancy, and satisfaction degree on weather condition and local attitude is comparative high and satisfaction degree on service manner and efficiency, hot spring bath condition is comparative low. The IPA analysis tool helps us to identify strength and weakness as perceived by hot spring tourist and find out focus of the work of Gansu hot spring tourist destination in the near future.
