Study On The Development Trend, Production Efficiency And Optimization Strategy Of China’s Eucommia Industry

From the perspective of industrial chain, the paper not only systematically studies the status, trend of Eucommia industrial development, and industrial efficiency by using relative scientific theories, models and methods of micro-economics, forestry economics, marketing, operations research, management science, statistics, forestry and other disciplines, but also gives some suggestions.The main conclusions are as follows:(1) From the perspective of the process of production, the paper pointes out, according to the Preliminary analysis of initial planting, processing, sales and trading in Eucommia industrial system, the existing problems such as the slowness of breeding and application and a relatively low degree of regionalization and specialization.(2) From the industrial chain perspective by using SWOT-AHP method on the product development, the analysis based on the development of Eucommia in this paper states clearly that the main advantage of our products is the resources, ecology, land location and advantages, yet with the lack of laws and regulations, low intensive degree etc,. challenges and threats in the development of Encommia industry in China. According to the analysis, the SSPO> SSPT> SWPO> SWPT, which indicates that to develop Encommia product industry in China has more advantages than disadvantages, opportunities than threats. The options of development strategies of China’s Eucommia industry are, in order of importance, SO strategy, ST strategy, WO strategy, WT strategy. Therefore, the SO strategy should be focused on, namely, by amplificating core advantage, making use of the external opportunity, with considering of ST strategy, strengthening the internal advantages, and actively responding to external challenges at current.(3)By a cluster of analysis of the 14 enterprises with certain size of Eucommia ulmoides enterprise, the typical enterprises Eucommia industry are being divided into two categories, and every single category is further divided into two smaller classes. The results reflect that the internal structure of the industry chain between Eucommia production and processing enterprises is more reasonable and there is a certain gap among different enterprises. In this paper, through the application of data envelopment analysis (DEA) for more than 14 of Eucommia ulmoides enterprise input-output efficiency of quantitative analysis, we get the following conclusions:first, the average comprehensive efficiency of 14 Eucommia enterprises is 0.929, which indicates that the efficiency of the use of Eucommia ulmoides enterprise overall is relatively high. At the same time, we can also see that the input level, enterprises are about 7.1% of the waste of Eucommia ulmoides. The main reason why comprehensive efficiency is not good is probably the technical level is not high, which in turn can not be caused in a short period of time; second, the mean total scale efficiency of 14 Eucommia enterprises is 1.000, while the mean technical efficiency as a whole is also 1.000, which means 14 home enterprise in Eucommia ulmoides returned to scale steady state; third, the average technical efficiency of 14 Eucommia enterprises was 1.000, shows that the overall efficiency is very good and in the enterprise operation efficiency, technology management level is higher.(4) Through the analysis of input and output efficiency of the above four kinds of cultivation mode,namely, the orchard cultivation mode, cultivation mode of traditional medicine, flower cultivation mode, and leaves with of cultivation model, the paper draws the following conclusions:first, the overall efficiency of four kinds of cultivation mode ranks:orchard cultivation mode, staminate flower cultivation mode, traditional medicinal cultivation mode, and the cultivation for leaf, of which the total efficiency of the cultivation pattern of orchard ranks first; second, the average technical efficiency of four kinds of cultivation patterns is 0.780, shows that the overall efficiency is good, while the technical efficiency of the management level in future operation needs to be improved; third, the overall size of the average efficiency of the four is 0.912, while the average technical efficiency of the whole,0.780.(5) The paper indicates the seven Eucommia region market size and market demand in China in order:East North China, Central China, Northwest China, Northeast China and Southwest China. According to the relation between the market supply and demand in the Eucommia industry In China, it is very clear that the primary products supply in China’s industrial capacity of Eucommia ulmoides is fully able to meet the market demand and excess supply exists. The reasons for the excess supply could be that the new requirements of innovation is not enough and the output matching is not reasonable etc,. The paper forecasts the future development trend of the industry of Eucommia based on the analysis of state of demand and supply in Eucommia industry market. The analysis shows that the demand is decrease instead of increase and the probable causes of this result is that the domestic demand is only contained in the calculation, without considering the international market, the demand of Eucommia rubber industry market is also not included.(6) This paper aims at the existing problems in the development of Eucommia industry, by learning from the development experience of foreign agricultural products industry, and by starting from the optimization objectives, principles, contents, measures, implementation mechanism, and industrial organization of Eucommia ulmoides should be further optimized and the government support and supervision should be strengthened and the industrial managemet should be vigorously carried out. Enterprise group should develop integrated operation mode of Eucommia planting, purchasing, production and sales.
