The Research On The Development Of USA Aerospace Industry

Within less than60years, the aerospace industry of China has gained remarkabledevelopment. However, on the one hand, along with the on-going development, theplanned pattern no longer satisfies the demand of the new environment of Chineseeconomy and the international competition. Reformation is strongly required in manyaspects. On the other hand, USA is in leading position of many realms, such astechnical level, industry volume, enterprise scale, etc., among which there are lots ofexperiences for us to learn. Therefore, in this paper, according to the framework ofindustrial economy and the theory of industrial competition, on the basis of thefeatures of USA aerospace industry development, the research on the USA aerospaceindustry is done, focusing mainly on industrial organization, industrial management,industrial policy, advantages and disadvantages of industrial competition. Meanwhile,in accordance with the problems and the aspects that need to be reformed in thedevelopment process of Chinese aerospace industry, relative recommendations arealso given to help the future developing.This paper is composed by six chapters. The first chapter is introduction. In thischapter, researching backgrounds and reviews are studied in order to determine thepurposes, the framework and theory of study. The aerospace industry of America inchosen to be the object of study. The framework of industrial economy and the theoryof industry competition is chose to be the theoretical basis. Detailed researchingmethods and steps are determined as well. The second chapter is the analysis of theaerospace industry of America. In this chapter, both views from Harvard school andChicago school are introduced briefly and relative analyses are given. The thirdchapter is the analysis on the industrial management, policy and mechanism of theaerospace industry of America. Aerospace industry is highly regulated and stronglyinfluenced by policies. In this chapter, the analyses on the industrial management,industrial policies, operating mechanism and industrial development of Americanaerospace industry are drawn, in order to provide policy recommendations. The fourthchapter is the analysis on the industrial competition of American aerospace industry.In this chapter, the analyses on the competitive advantages and disadvantages ofAmerican aerospace industry are drawn by following aspects: factor conditions,demand conditions, relating and supporting industry, firm strategy, structure and rivalry, government and opportunity. The fifth chapter is the enlightenment ofAmerican aerospace industry to aerospace industry of China. The final purpose of thepaper is rather an inspiration to the development of Chinese aerospace industry than amere analysis on the aerospace industry of America. After pointing out severalinsufficiencies that walk along the development of Chinese aerospace industry,relative recommendations are given in the end. The sixth chapter is the conclusion andprospect.There are several innovations in this paper. Firstly, this paper fully studies thedevelopment of American aerospace industry using the framework of industrialeconomy and the theory of competitiveness. Secondly, both views of Harvard schooland Chicago school are considered in analyzing the industrial organization ofAmerican aerospace industry. Thirdly, the mechanism of American aerospace industryis analyzed after the study on the industrial management and policy of Americanaerospace industry, which fully studies the patterns of the development of Americanaerospace industry, including R&D, knowledge forming and dissemination. Fourthly,the theoretical analyses on the advantages and disadvantages of the competitiveness ofAmerican aerospace industry provide references to the development of Chineseaerospace industry. Fifthly, in this paper, the flaws and insufficiencies during thedevelopment of Chinese aerospace industry are located and relative recommendationsare put forward as well. In this paper, both theoretical and practical views are wellbalanced, which is highly conductive towards the further development of Chineseaerospace industry.
