With the development of green economy and improvement of energy conservation and emission reduction, higher request is put forward in power generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electricity. It requires not only safety and reliability, but also to achieve environmental protection, energy saving and so on. This paper carries on theoretical and empirical study on Green Grid, contributing to clarify the development direction and level of Green Grid and promoting the rapid and efficient development of Green Grid and green power, which helps to achieve the goal of energy saving and emission reduction and respond actively to climate change for sustainable development at the same time. It is of great realistic significance for the strategic consideration and the motion deployment of China’s green development, vigorously promoting green development concept, promoting green transformation of China’s development mode, comprehensively advancing the development of Green Grid to do the research on Green Grid management system for construction and evaluation.After reading a lot of literature and integrating data, firstly, this paper constructs the basic theory of Green Grid, which comprehensively defines the connotation and features of Green Grid. Secondly, this paper systematically analyzes the development status and influencing factors of China’s Green Grid and demonstrates the realistic demand and actual feasibility of the development of China’s Green Grid. Then, it focuses on the research of operational mechanism of Green Grid and proposes an intelligent forecasting model of sustainable development and improvement of models and algorithms of joint thermal-wind-hydroelectric power operation in Green Grid. In addition, based on the preliminary design of Green Grid electricity market mechanism, a comprehensive management evaluation index system and a multi-angle all-round comprehensive evaluation model of Green Grid are set up and multi-model evaluation of security, reliability, economic level, intelligence level of Green Grid is built up. Finally, combined with the actual situation of the development of China’s Green Grid, corresponding management solutions and recommendations are put forward.Based on the development situation of Green Grid, five typical regional green power grid are selected for empirical analysis on China’s Green Grid’s development. Firstly, on the base of development-level integrated evaluation system and Network Analysis Method (ANP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, the selected typical regional grids are evaluated respectively from security reliability, green level, economic level, intelligent level, efficiency level, thus the integrated development level on Green Grid is evaluated and compared. Results show that development levels of the typical regional grids of South China is different with lower level of the intelligent and green. Secondly, an Improved Difference Evolution Algorithm (IDE Algorithm) on China Green Grid joint-operation mechanism is proposed for simulation experiment. Through the calculation results of established joint operation models of wind-thermal power, hydro-thermal power, wind-hydro-thermal power, the applicability and superiority of IDE algorithm for variety power mode joint-operation is verified and theory foundation is laid for Green Grid’s joint-operations. Finally, the Wavelet Support Vector Machine(WSVM) prediction method is proposed in this paper for constructing the intelligent forecasting model of sustainable development of Green Grid. For predicting the prospects for renewable energy, the typical regional grids are still selected as subjects for analysis. Through empirical analysis, the results verify the necessity and realistic demand of Green Grid.The joint-operation model, comprehensive evaluation model and prediction model of this paper is innovative and practical, which is of great significance on the development and full realization of Green Grid in China.
