| Tibet is the birthplace of many rivers in China, the Tibetan forest ecosystem in China’s economic and social development and ecological protection, ecological environment construction has the extremely important status and role.The Tibet autonomous region ecological environment not only affects the sustainable development of regional economic society, but also directly affects the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze river area of ecological security and the river basin sustainable development, but also has great influence to the adjacent countries and regions. Tibet forest ecological benefit compensation system as the starting point, to explore, Tibet forest ecosystems have a good, important and unique ecological function, and promote long-term policy mechanisms for sustainable local economic development.This paper analyzes the domestic and foreign related research on forest ecological compensation of forest ecological compensation theory and practice and related policies, the basic approach is proposed and the forest ecological compensation is multi-channel financing, improve the funding system, market competition mechanism and perfect legal system, national compensation plan is sustainable. Secondly, through analyzing the present situation of Tibet forest ecological benefit compensation of forest ecological benefit compensation in Tibet, there are too many historical debts, and weak revenue resulting in low compensation standards and unreasonable, not coordinated with other resources compensation policy, legal system and policy limit cutting logging industry without loss and compensation of forest ecological compensation is not sound and other major issues.
