Since the melamine events, the public arouse great attention on safety and quality of Chinese dairy products, especially infant milk powder. Dairy safety incidents like "estrogen in milk powder", "children with big heads" break out frequently, which gives rise to the public panic. Dairy industry attracts more and more attention and meanwhile leads dairy enterprises and related scholars to do research on dairy supply chain management, quality and safety monitoring of dairy, risk assessment and control mechanisms.From the beginning of the 21 st century, the Internet of Things has been increasingly researched and applied in the international context. The development of the Internet of Things brings hope to solving safety problems of dairy products and also plays an important role in promoting the traceable process of dairy industry supply chain management, supervision, control of quality and safety. Applying the Internet of Things to the quality safety management of dairy products industry will realize the whole process management of information, following from top to bottom and tracing from bottom to top. All-dimensional information supervision and control in operational process could improve the ability and efficiency of dairy traceability and recall in an effort to eliminate risks of dairy food safety, control the loopholes in dairy industry operation process effectively and improve quality safety of dairy products.In order to fundamentally solve the problem of quality management and supervision of dairy industry, the supply chain quality management innovation model of dairy industry based on Internet of things technology need to be designed. It is time solve the mode of how to promote consumers and to make the consumers participate in the quality supervision of dairy products. So, this paper focuses on the research of supply chain management pattern about dairy industry based on the Internet of Things in two aspects.On the one side, the research focuses on the analysis and design of management pattern. The research object is the whole industrial chain of dairy products manufacture and operation. The paradigm of behavioral science and design science are applied comprehensively in comparison with the application of the Internet of Things in supply chain management of dairy industry. Firstly, the research discusses a series of problems existing in current safety management process of dairy through analyzing the current operation of dairy industry. Then, summarizing the features of current supply chain of the current dairy industry, status of quality safety management and current situation of dairy safety system. Following the behavioral science paradigm, the research explores the roles and influences of dairy households, milk station, dairy enterprises and governmental regulatory authority in management supply chain of dairy industry quality. According to the existing problems in dairy industry, the research proposes a dairy industry supply chain quality management mode based on the Internet of Things, which combined with theory of information system management and applying IT to the process of dairy quality and safety management. To meet the actual needs of dairy industry, the research combined theoretical research and practical application, applying representing methods of the process of data flow view to show quality management model of dairy industry and comparing the analysis of supply chain quality management based on the Internet of Things with the features of traditional supply chain quality management model. It is primarily from dairy products quality management of dairy enterprises and supervision and control of dairy products quality and safety of governmental regulatory authority to analyses the advantages of supply chain quality management model based on the Internet of Things. Through researching the case study, the research explores the practical value of supply chain quality management model based on the Internet of Things.On the other side, this paper focuses on the methods based on the paradigm of behavioral science to promote this new innovation model to consumers. Firstly this paper examined the consumers’ information preference in dairy industry supply chain quantitatively by applying the conjoint analysis approach based on choice, that is identifying the most valuable information for consumers to guide the dairy industry offer effective dairy products source query service, and then improving supervision of dairy industry from consumers effectively, improving the quality and safety of the dairy industry. This paper analyzes the consumer trust based on the information quality theory and detailed model, and test the effect of information transmission methods and transmission quality on consumer trust to increase the acceptance of RFID and facilitate the diffusion in dairy industry.
