Concerning the design of the product, there is indefiniteness and fuzziness in the FFE ofproduct innovation, which is manifested by uncertainty and fuzziness of the customer needs,uncertainty of technology as well as uncertainty of the competition environment. In order toguarantee the success of the engineering products innovation, to reduce the uncertainty of theFFE as much as possible, it is a must to have a comprehensive understanding of customer needs,to use FFE phase of product innovation, enabling technology, innovative processes and methodsto build a rule-based design process, and therefore to improve the success rate of productinnovation. The idea is the initial form of the new product or the new service, as well as thehigh-level viewpoint of solving expected problems. It is the key, for a enterprise, of success andholding a advantageous position in competition to generate influential ideas continuously and touse these ideas as support of products innovation.This thesis presented studies in terms of confirmation of opportunities, generation of ideas,choice of ideas, on the basis of which the paper hereof proposes a process model on how togenerate innovation ideas concerning FFE-driving engineering products. The paper hereofmainly covers the following points.1. By studying documents about FFE model, the paper hereof analyzes both connotationand characteristics of FFE, and defines the definition of FFE stage. The paper hereof summarizeoutlines on how to choose innovation products, as well as and the evolution, the platform, thebreakthrough innovation product, in the parsing technique innovation pattern and on theproduct innovation's drives mechanism's foundation. On the basis of analyzing models oftechnology innovation and dynamic mechanism of products innovation, the paper hereofsummarize outlines on how to choose innovation products, on incremental innovation products,flatbed innovation products, breakthrough innovation products as well as FFE. Summarizingfrom process related, opportunity confirm, idea generation, testing, etc, to propose methods andtools which are suitable for various stages of fuzzy front end, research principles of creationabout fuzzy front end driver product innovation idea, and put forward the fuzzy front end drivermachinery product innovation idea creation framework.2. Analyzing the development and inherited relations of the technology forecast, thetechnical foresight as well as the technical road map,analyzing the technical road map'sfunction on the discovery of the innovation opportunity from the technical road map's result andthe manufacture process, on the basis of the technical foresight's meaning and the layeredanalysis,proving how to grasp the technological development rule and how to recognizeinnovation opportunity depending upon the technical road map. Proposing the value chart andthe product category judgment formula that face the technical road map's product characteristiccategory. 3. Analyzing the barrier in idea-generating process and the importance of CAI to theproduct innovation. Based on the analysis of the product design for different product innovationand the technological innovation for different product type, using the FFE tools of TRIZ and soon, proposing the idea generation model for different product type and the systematic method ofidea generation.4. Classifying the customer needs from analysis mode and the degree of user's satisfaction,studying the integrant part of customer needs of mechanical products. Putting forward mixedFFE-driven model of customer needs acquisition process and displaying the key technologiesfor model. Proposing the synthesis fuzzy assessment method for idea based on the customerneeds obtained from Mixed FFE-driven model. Facing the product design specification'sgenerating process, proposing one method based on the extension engineering of product targetmeasure producing. Using the sorting of the matrix and the judgment formula's completeness ofthe measure importance, and taking the great importance measure as the new product design'sbreach, designing the products.5. Taking the degreasing machine as the studying object, and confirming the fundamentalresearch and the process model proposed by the innovation idea of the FFE in the whole thesis.
