The Nanjing city street trees have been carried on a more exhaustive investigation. It has gathered forest particular data of the scenic area of Dr.Sun Yat-Sen 's Mausoleum and the Qixia mountain, based on which it has analyzed the structure characteristic of the Nanjing city forest and calculated the Nanjing city street trees biodiversity indices. It has the strongly practical significance to instruct the Nanjing city forest construction and the development. Thanks to calculating and analyzing the ecological value of the Nanjing city forest, it educes the conclusion that the Nanjing city forest hold the important status and the huge function in the city ecological environment construction, which have the significant significance to determine the status in the ecological environment construction of the city forest, solve the pressure which the ecological environment faces and establish the green GDP calculation system.
